MARTIN WOOD was with the Stargate franchise since he was an assistant director back in the first season of SG-1. He directed dozens of episodes of SG-1 and Atlantis before moving on to Sanctuary. But he was with Stargate co-creator Brad Wright when he learned that Syfy Channel had cancelled the franchise's third installment: STARGATE UNIVERSE.
In this conversation with "Dial the Gate" Martin tells the story of where the producers were when they learned that SGU was ending after only two years ... and why they didn't want to tell the cast right away. Wood also talks about his own path to filmmaking, and becoming an A.D. on Stargate in 1997.
