Agreed that the Pi8 pulls away from the M4's. And yes, I have the Beoplay ex's and the B&W Pi8's are like an upgraded version of the B&O.

Looking forward to see the comparison with the Devialet Gemini 2 and the Pi8. I really like the bass in the gemini 2 as it sounds deep yet tight and very controlled compared to my XM5. Curious too see how the new Pi8 stack up.

Seem like those pi8 has a lot of updates they need to fix they started playing in the case, those headphones are not worth 399, whereas momentum 4 going for 230 price unbeatable

Yeah. I have other earbuds that do the same thing. They don't disconnect until the lid is closed.

I have the momentum 4s. Great sound. But a little problem with connection issue, that effect sound quality. I have an meze alba wired iems in order. The albas are said to be delivered late September. Wondering if i should sell my momentum 4s. Cancel the albas. And get the Bowers & Wilkins i8 instead 🤔 But them again, i also miss having some wired iems. Its something about that analog sound, and not having to deal with charging, and stuff. And i guess the albas will sound better than the Bowers?

Sorry for the late response. IMO, the difference is very noticeable when it comes to sound. The soundstage is better on the Pi8.

But also you have to remember that the Pi8 are $400 and the momentum fours are 245 probably as of now. So obviously the pi8 more expensive and way more premium. If you like the ecosystem and you trying to save money get the pi6 because you are going to be getting the same sound just not all the detail mechanics. Or the customized EQ. But ultimately their apps that work better than anyway.

I loved my Beoplay EX, but after 2 yrs I'm getting maybe 3 hrs of battery. Not enough for the time I spend at Starbucks and gym after. So I'm using my Status ANC and old MW07 that don't have the wonderful sound but they are both close, have better loudness, and much better battery life. I have other nice buds too, but personally I want the MW09 because of the battery life and sound may not be quite as good, but still sound great. Just wish they weren't always out of stock. I really want the green or gunmetal Kevlar ones. 😢

Hey beo ex is my fav ear buds and I recently picked up pi8, it’s better in every respect. It’s a fantastic upgrade to beoplay ex! More detailed sound, the anc and transparency is Leagues ahead!

A word to the wise: bright sounds and punchy bass tires your ears out early. Bass Smoothness, rich sound and soundstage always win long term listening. The nod goes to Sennheiser.

Newness is what you giving the victory to. Two words..."13 hours" ..I'm sorry. There is no way a company in 2024 should get away from 13 hour of battrry life on a case. The bw also has connection problems and drops. They have basic anc and their features and controls are basic without giving the users the ability to do all they should be able to on the earphones and after all that they want $400

@TheDigitalcrack I've had a ton of "new" esrbuds that couldn't match ones that I've had for months or more. So your newness claim holds no water. I do agree about the battery. But even taken that into consideration with everything else, I still would take the Pi8s in this comparison.

The momentum 4 are probably the better value right now. The PI8 is much improved over the PI7 though and I’ve had far less issues with them then I did with my PI7. Sound quality was the main concern not touch controls or anc. I’m good with that but for the money some people aren’t and I get that.
