Gavin was such a sweet and talented man. At the last performance of Hello Dolly!, he cried when he got to the line in "It Only Takes A Moment" when he said that he lost his job. He was so joyous when he performed, and had such love and chemistry with Kate Baldwin. I will miss him terribly.

After i saw Dolly, my husband took me backstage i met alot of people but Gavin Creel stands out. We talked like we knew each other for years. That smile is heaven sent. I know heaven is much brighter with that beautiful star of Broadway. Rest in Everlasting peace Gavin

To say “life is so unfair” doesn’t begin to describe or explain what a terrible loss this is. Losing Gavin Creel feels the same to me as the loss of Jonathan Larson in 1996 and Nick Cordero in 2020, not to mention the hundreds of talented Broadway individuals lost to AIDS since 1981.
