I love this series and your long videos so much! With google sheets you can sort the column A from a-z to separate tbr and read book. then if you click the first number of you tbr books and hold shift down to the las tbr book line it will select all the lines for you which you can copy and paste into a new sheet. on the original sheet you can press command Z and it'll revert back to the original order so you don't loose the original order

I don’t know if this will help Gavin, but it might help someone else-if you want to know if your books will fit on the bookcase or shelf you are ordering, line the books up on the floor, spine side up preferably starting in a corner. Measure the length of your row or rows of books. Note the length of the shelf lengths. Subtract-voila!

In an Excel doc you can sort, so sort by “read” and “TBR”. Whatever number range the TBR ends up in can be used in the random number generator. You can unsort the spreadsheet anytime you want to get it back to the original version.

Hello Gavin! Love your videos, it's always fun to watch when people tackle their TBR, and I love that you add in the vlog parts about your everyday life aswell. I hope you keep this series going and get more books read! If you want an easy way to get all TBR books you can have another tab and use a filter script to get all rows with TBR in column A. That way you will have only TBR in that tab and you can easy use the random number generator :D That way you don't have to copy everything over :) If you don't know how to do the script let me know and I can send you one that will work with moving over all the TBR books

The art style for Lore Olympus does develop as the series progresses since it was originally a Webtoon so the artist definitely grew into her style. I remember I went back to read the first volume and was like wow this is different. However, it's not that drastic a change that I think you'd suddenly change your mind about it

To do this easier and not get ones you’ve already read: Sort your spreadsheet by read and unread column and then only generate the numbers of the unread books! It’s easy to change back once you’re done!

You might enjoy your spreadsheet more if you format it as a table. This will add sort and filter functions to the column headers. It is easy to do once you know how to do it. You highlight the area your data is in, then go to the 'format as table' option (a quick google will show you were it lives). You can then filter your column with the tbr/read to just be tbr (temporarily!) or you can sort it. I would also suggest adding a column that describes the type of book, e.g. manga, middlegrade, etc. which will mean you can filter it by the type of book you are vibing. Another useful column for you would be one where you say if you have a video in mind for it / if it has been in a video, again so you can filter to the relevant requirements. I would also suggest a series column, but I know you've said you aren't keen on the idea. You can put 'standalone' for books not in a series. This would mean you could sort by the series column, and then author, which is a great feature if you mess up the order of your data. I hope this doesn't come across as a critique of your spreadsheet, I think it's awesome. (I am a data analyst)

Duuude do not hurt yourself by copying your tbr into a new sheet 😅 please use the google sheet function of sorting or filtering, under the Data tab!! Sort on your Read vs TBR column will put them in order, and filter will "hide" whatever isnt checked. Good luck, would love to see more!!❤

Still watching but concerning your struggle to get TBR books only in shuffle 😅 maybe you can filter TBR books only, number them in separate column and shuffle only that smaller number? OR sort by TBR column and you will get correct number of your TBR and can shuffle it not total number if books.

oh gavin! you can add a filter to your full inventory list, then you can sort for anything -- for any column. Just select your entire top row , then click the little "funnel" icon in your toolbar. That will add the filter to every column in your spreadsheet. Now, every column can be sorted by a variety of things -- just click the newly added icon next to the column's title, and see your options! This way, you can just filter for things like, only TBR books... or only books that are adult fantasy... etc. I hope that helps xox PS: you are inspiring me to sign up for personal training! i've been sitting on the fence for a YEAR

I see other people have suggested temp fixes but to make it so you don't have to do a Whole thing whenever you want to resort your sheet: when you have selected the whole sheet (quick select everything by clicking the topmost left little square next to A column), click on the third icon from the right called Filter/Sort (the little Y with a line connecting the top to pieces as well), and you're ENTIRE SHEET can be sorted by columns by just clicking the little arrows next to the column headers, and information will stay in line :) (you might have to rejigger your Read and TBR formulas to live elsewhere for the time being, they might not play nice as headers for a sortable column). You can then just sort by Read and TBR column and get numbers whatever-through whatever for TBR. If you sort one column and then sort another, the internal sorting will remember - so like, If you sort Alphabetically by author and then by Read/TBR, the two sections will still be alphabetized by Author within themselves. Also, I know you really didn't want to make it super complicated but you coooould add columns for genre and age so that you could limit yourself to adult fantasy for your final pick like you wanted today, and get just those numbers for instance XD I had a lot of fun watching. I've been bingeing content from the 300 Book unhaul and the moving/library content for the time being but I'll definitely be sticking around :)

Gaav, you could duplicate the spreadsheet and add a filter at the top, click sort z to a and that way youd have only TBRS from number 4 to wherever they end. That way you're certain you're not messing up your original sheet if you screw up but you won't get any "reads" anymore

Your critique of PTSD Radio summed up how I felt reading the mangaka's other series, Fuan No Tane (Seeds of Anxiety) and I remember over time thinking it was too repetitive, but I was still intrigued enough to binge all 3 books in one go. Rated 2-3 stars. Then at night I was washing dishes late at night in front of a window and it was pitch black, and I felt this creeping dread. I was skittish the entire week! So I guess it really did plant seeds of anxiety without me even realizing it. 😅Changed my rating after that.

You can sort your sheet by TBR and do a random number generator for that. You may need to make a copy of the sheet then delete the read books from the copied sheet, that way you only have unread books to choose from.

The way I choose my next book is by having a bunch of those cardboard bookmarks which bookshops and online stores like to give away. I draw three from them and try to find the books that fit each one the best (that hasn't been already read). I then choose which one I want to read between those three. Keep in mind, my collection is MAYBE pushing 100, read ones counted in. You might have far more difficulty with this method.

Mon, wed, fri. I do the gym on tue, thu, sat. because of the cook and cleaning lady taking up hump days but I will not have a cook when I move. Still gonna work with my system but might change it every once in a while depending on when I'm cooking something. Might take me 3 days to cook a lasagna but we'll see how things go. LOL Good luck with your journey. If you don't lose weight you should be strengthening your muscles anyway so keep going. I always decide to take MONTHS OFF to do things so don't do what I'm doing. I'm happy that you're doing this video and hope you keep going with these for as long as you have books to read. I only have 34 books left on my TBR but I would not be surprised if you read 100 of yours before I get through mine. I'm gonna be busy for a while now and going back to the gym in January so who knows how long it will be to read my books. I do read when I go to the doctor's office of even the gym while I wait for the car to pick me up or before the appointment since it drops me off often 30 or more minutes before the right time. I don't care what you call this series but whatever you decide on I hope everyone is happy with it. Have a lovely rest of your week and please keep us posted on your gym progress. I would love to know how much muscle I'd been gaining while I was at the gym but whatever it is I know I've lost it all from the time I've been away from exercising. 😕
