Geelong fan here - fair play to Melbourne, totally deserved it in that final quarter. Cats should’ve had it in the bag after that second quarter but if you play so poorly in the last term that’s what can happen- a mixture of complacency/trying to hold on to a lead instead of actually playing our footy and being ruthless. Some will say we “choked” as well and you can understand why after blowing that kind of lead but the players now need to dust themselves off for the tough trip to Port and show what they can do over 4 quarters (hopefully!) As I said though credit to Melbourne, they were excellent, have been all year and (as good as the finals are to watch) I always feel much more credit should go to the top team after a home/away season as they’ve been consistently the best so well done Dees👍👏

Congrats Melbourne but remember not to do what my team the Crows did in 2005. That season they won the minor premiership in the last round by beating West Coast in Perth. Then they didn't even make the Grand Final. Stay hungry and don't be satisfied unless you're holding the premiership cup. Simon Goodwin was part of that team so he'll remember.
