You guys are great parents and role models. Everytime I watch your videos, as a 62 yo, it reassures me that all the figthing for equal rights for LGBT folks was worth every minute spent over the last 35+ years of my life. If things were different 30 years ago, I may have done the same thing. You are, in my opinion, the most exemplary parents. You're a great example of how sexual orientation should play no part in fostering, adopting, or raising children. Just about every child in the foster care system were brought into this world by straight parents. Your character should be the deciding factor, not your sexuality and you two are the best examples!

Seventeen years ago my husband and I brought our son home from Guatemala! He was 11 months old and from the start of our adoption process (home study, background checks, etc.) to bringing him home was nearly 1 1/2 years. It was a journey full of excitement, frustration, tears, anger at times and finally joy! I have a special place in my heart for adoptive/foster parents like you two and will be shouting from the rooftop when your adoption is completed and you “legally” become the beautiful family of 5 that you already are! Have you thought about fostering a LGBT+ teen who's been thrown out/disowned by their families? I've heard that those kids are extremely difficult to place, and I feel that you'd be in a unique position to help them. Of course, you'd have to assess on an individual basis and consider the 3 you already have! I love hearing the children call you both dad/daddy, and there is such pride and love on your faces when you talk about them.

I think you are looking at the show in the wrong perspective. They are not making fun of you, but trying to give people a better idea of what a gay couple would be, versus what many may think otherwise. If this is so, it's a huge compliment to your lives. Please Update us on the adoption process with your sons and daughter. Is it possible for kidos to take new middle names when adoption is complete? It would be good for boys to take your first names as second name as you told us the olderest has expressed interest in Jasper from PJ. Middle child could have Thomas with your daughter using some form of name of P from PJ. Hopefully your household is now back in good health.

I wonder how the kids handle they have two dads. When the child is brought into the world as newborns, it's just something they have always known. With children older, I'm always curious if that is ever an issue. Do they question the reason there is no mom?. I feel that nurturing these children and loving them is all that's important. But I'm just curious as to if that subject is explained to the kids, do they even ask? .

I initially started watching for rent. You came up in my suggested videos. I thought the kids were your bio children as Alan could easily pass as JP's and Thomas as bio for the other two. I had a childhood friend who looked so much like her mum and she found out when she was 13 that she was adopted. No blood relation at all yet you would never know it. I think if people don't know a child adopted... and of course this pertains to children of the same ethnicity..you just assume they are bio children. I think with Thomas being of Lebanese heritage that it just allows you to assume they are his bio kids.
