I’ve been to Noto many times, I even looked at buying a home there. It’s no more gay than anywhere else, I would not call it a gay destination at all, it has no gay venues. Catania, Taormina and Palermo are where to go for gay venues. Obviously there are gay men and gay action everywhere, but Noto is a cultural and historic centre. You missed the cafe opposite the cathedral that makes the best gelato in all Italy, according to some.

I went to the gelato and it was amazing. I think there is just a bit part of it in this video.

Im from Noto and the place is very gayfriendly. So there are some bars where especially the gays go. In Summertime is Noto the little Mykonos of Italy. There is also a gay beach and in the area are venues. Marzamemi is a gay club and there are also a lot of little events like transshow. Im totally agree with yourgayguide 🏳️🌈❤🥳🏳️🌈

amazing Sicily vlog, I have never been there, but I noticed that the terrain looks similar to Malta. I get the sense that Sicily is more of a couple vacation spot. Would recommend it for solo travelers? It does look lovely though. Also a quick question, I plan on vacationing later this year in Spain (Barcelona, Stiges, Madrid, Valencia). I wanted to know more about the 3 Ibiza islands. Are they just overpriced islands where rich Brits go to party? Do you plan on covering these islands? Is there a vibrant LGBT nightlife scene on these islands?
@yourgayguyde11 ай бұрын
Ibiza is beautiful but not much gay life happening there. there is one gay beach and a couple of bars. but the island is amazing and fontanera (i think that is the name of the island close to it) has one of the most beautiful sunsets i have seen in my life.

what is all that litter of wood and sticks on beach?? I have to tell you not spectacualar.
@yourgayguyde11 ай бұрын
That is a nature reserve and the way you see it on the video is the way that nature left from the day before. This is spectacular now a days. To find a place where men have not touched yet to make designed pavements and a beach full of deckchairs.
@andyroo938110 ай бұрын
Yes, but all of the natural debris took up the beach area. Can't the local government clean that up and use it for firewood?@@yourgayguyde
@giovannimoriggi58339 ай бұрын
@@andyroo9381 It's not legal to compromise the normal status of a natural reserve. What you call debris are part of the ecosystem and what you think is a tourists beach, it's not. It's a place you explore for what it is.

My Hubby and I Loved our trip to Sicily. We will return. While we found Noto totally charming + did find a maybe gay owned book store / cafe I would’nt call it’ a gay capital…. We had a problem with a homophobic Airbnb “superhost” in Catania, it was so uncomfortable for me that we left early and stayed in Taormina - also beautiful and based on its past felt more gay friendly - there was also a gay owned guest house in Taormina. We also were introduced to a gay couple living in Palermo; one a doctor other a tour guide. They said Sicily is not particularly Gay friendly, but did say Captania was the best place. However, here you’re showing clearly gay places + beaches etc. I will say though that our trip was about 10 years ago; I can assume progress has been made. Frankly, as an Italian American Italy always has felt stuck in the past. Italian friends there say it’s the influence of the Vatican (Hope that is changing). Having said all this we will return; there’s something Really special and ancient feeling (Sicily has better preserved Greek sites then Greece) just Loved it, even with it’s flaws. Lastly we’re an older married couple who didn’t look for bars, or beaches, did find all the great food and food markets!!! Yummy

I have the same opinion about Italy when it comes to acceptance about lgbtiq+ people. It’s mainly like that in the majority of the places, apart of Milan that is very gay. If you go in summer to Noto you’ll see so many gay couples in the streets walking around and enjoying the city. It’s very charming. I felt noto and few other places like Taormina in Sicily quite gay and with nice gay beaches to go but unfortunately that doesn’t reflect in the whole country. You could hear people celebrating when the parliament in Italy took away one of the existing lgbtiq+ laws.
