GAZA: A Reality Check (Malayalam) By Ravichandran C

Horse freethinker and author Ravichadran C. analyzes the present situation in Gaza in this talk, fact checking the real situation and the real problems. The preceding overarching theme of the presentation is that history, being the invite near infinite mine it is, can always give you what you want if you just mine it to that level; that the establishing of villains and heroes in this war will not solve the problem.
Going deep into the historical origin of Palestine, Israel and the crisis, the speaker discusses the possible solutions for the problem when viewed from an objective perspective. Sometimes even playing the devil's advocate to say that Israel, one of the most hated nations there is, might not be as bad as they are portrayed; neither the designated victims in the issue too good.
This programme was conducted by NIRMUKTA, Trivandrum chapter on 31 July 2014 at Trivandrum Press Club.

In Iraq, it is more than 80,000 and men, women and children are butchered in broad daylight. The sufferings of the minority Christian and Yazidi men and women in northern Iraq are indescribable. Many women have been buried alive recently. Such cruel deeds are taking place day in and day out. Hundreds and hundreds of innocent lives are annihilated in Egypt, Lybia, Sudan, Somalia, Algeria etc daily in internal strifes. In Nigeria christian girls en masse are abducted, raped and sold in slave market! But, the Malayali does not seem to know about it even. He is blissfully unaware of it. He only knows and reads about the deaths in Palestine and he is agitated! He is choked with emotion! He shows his solidarity with the poor Palestinian people and he shouts against Israel! Why, the suffering people in Syria, Iraq, Lybia, Egypt etc. are not human beings? Or their lives have no value? The Palestine sympathisers here should answer this question.

The war ended by Israel surrendering the entire Sinai peninsula to Egypt and Egypt gave them “the right to exist”. Who started the war? Was it Israel? In retaliation, Israel attacked Lebanon after 6 weeks. Peace treaties were signed and the war ended. 5. 2006 war: Lebanon’s Hezbollah attacked Israel. This time as well, it was not Israel who initiated the war.

In a vox video about Israel Palestine conflict all arabs were supporting Palestine and cursing the Jews.. This was heavily countered by Indians. I actually posted the entire history starting from initial war, Golan heights, its strategic importance. Comment was well received by Jews and he personally was wondering how Indians Knew about the subject in detail. I even mentioned the Mossad support we got during the Kargil war (GPS Issue) and support through ammunition. Many Indians were making the same points in the comment. Just look how careful people are trying to sound neutral. Back in the day nobody had the balls to support Israel in the fear of being called communal. Now nobody gives a sh@t!! India has turned completely RIGHT WING.
