RIP Shawn and Lynn. Thinking of you both a lot today on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. I still remember seeing that big smile in the corridors of St. Teresa's where we went to school. God keep you both safe

I’m from Southeastern MA, near RI and moved out of the area before 9/11. I never knew this story about the bridge. This is so lovely.

All those who lost their life that day had their story . 💔 they had family friends loved ones and lives and dreams . They had plans . May we never forget .

9/11 won’t become like 12/7 until all of us who were alive at the time & old enough to understand what was happening have died. I’m just a random person in a fly-over state. I didn’t know anyone lost on that day, but I was deeply and permanently affected. Some would call me too soft, a “snowflake” but I admit that I am and accept it. My oldest is 25 now, and I can’t help but hurt for the parents & siblings of this beautiful couple.

recently I read a lot of stories of the victims of 911, every time when I see those pictures, it remind me, they were living in this world, they were just normal people, they went to work, they went to trip, they fell in love with someone, they may have a good future, sometimes I like to imagine if there is no 911, thier life will be good. I don’t know how describe my feelings, they did nothing wrong, but they lost their future, I wish this tragedy didn’t happen. R.I.P Shawn and Lynn.

I was watching the news with it happened. As I watching the first Tower burn my son walked into the room and I said to him it's an Attack and they aren't Finished. A few minutes later the next plane hit. There is No Dust on my mantle. I WILL Never Forget.

This is so bittersweet to just know about this. 21 years later. But I am a Christian and I know and can’t wait to meet them both. What a day that will be ! And I promise everyone that’s reading this that I WILL happen. Until then, I pray that the suffering and the hurt is just a little bit less knowing that day is coming !! ❤️🙏💯

1st Thessalonians 4:13-14 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Hard to forget the date for me as it’s my brother’s birthday. My family was close to having a family member at the Pentagon and he was late to the meeting. But it wasn’t until 2011 that my Grandma told me her cousin was killed in the Pearl Harbor attack. Now they are dates I’ll never forget because of my own ties. May Shawn & Lynn rest in peace

In this immense, horrible, tragedy, so many people, unique stories of life lived!! It is between these two people that love in a whole that is cocteau f ft And in naming that bridge with their names, couple together?! They will always be together, a symbol of a horrible day, but with their presence they have a place full of values, respect, infinite living, lived in every time ❤️11/09/2001 A bridge full of love to infinity!!

Sorry, but I haven't understood how they died: were they in the towers on 9/11?
@odd-one-out4409 Жыл бұрын
They were both on one of the flights- that struck the towers. I dk where that flight was initially going but from what I guess- I plane that large has to be a long flight so either across the nation u. S or another country.

They were on Flight 175 which struck the South Tower. It took off from Logan in Boston headed to LA. From there they were going to take a connecting flight to Hawaii.

To be quite honest (and I'm Scandinavian, and live in Scandiavia..) with time, 9/11 has become more significant to me somehow. As though these later years, it has begun affecting me more.. So, while I get the notion of how all things fade with time.. it's not forgotten by the world. Not at all. I was 13 when it happened. I saw it live on TV when the 2nd plane hit WTC.. I think with age, maturing and so on, different emotions begin to arise, making you feel things differently. 9/11 is a good example of that for me. I light two candles in my window on the date every year.

I think he is wrong. Pearl harbour was a American tragedy. 9/11 a global one, since everybody saw it on TV. 9/11 changed a lot in the air travel policy, which will also stay forever. People wanna forget things related to war, which was pearl harbour. Be sure Mister, 9/11 will not become december 9th… It was a collective thing
