Plus the safety element, if there is one. I did something similar a few years back, I got through the training and started at the organisation. Those at the 'top of the tree' spoke very badly about people like myself who, for no fault of our own, had been without work for a few years. I stuck it out for around six weeks but there was no support whatsoever, I was left without a mentor, and during one day I felt so worried for my personal safety, I resigned. I needed the job but I was not willing to place myself at risk of being physically assaulted every day, in exchange for a few ££s at the end of each month. Too many people that make these sweeping statements live and view life from within their bubble, and think everything is just 'black and white,' and their view the only way it is. Having people change, or be forced to accept roles they are simply not suited to carry out is basically setting them up to fail. How that will negatively affect their self-esteem and self-confidence further is never taken into account, and is blatantly unjust to label them in a such a way.
