what would you reccomend for dealing with nutsedge or kyllinga in st.augistine lawns.
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure pro sedge will get it. just read the label to make sure st aug is on the list of grasses you can treat

Did they take the chemical that causes cancer out of Round-up? 😳 That’s a high maintenance yard you have. Looks nice though.

Pete what do you recommend to kill moss that is in the grass. I live in Wisconsin and did my first walk through of my yard yesterday and noticed I have moss in my lawn now that the snow is gone.

Tim Korth I’ll try and do a video on moss and how to control it

Great info on the string trimmer edge! Love the sprayers plus backpack unit I stumbled across last summer. The new strip of grass your treating, what did you apply to it so far?

That sprayer looks cool. I would be worried about the agitation in that it is one more thing that could possible leak, especially in a roundup backpack. I like my roundup backpacks to have the least amount of risk for leaks. I prefer the backpacks like the jacto which have everything inside the sprayer. So it something leaks, it leaks in the sprayer.

Branden Rheinschmidt that’s what we use now. Jacto. I’m just testing this one. But yeah the possibility of a leak freaks me out. Lol

Pete, I overseeded a few weeks ago and have baby grass starting to germinate. Would it be ok to SPOT spray weeds in my lawn with a post emergent or would this harm my new grass? Thanks

Jay Wright NO WAY BRO!!! Wait until you mow the lawn at least 2 times if not 3.

Great video Pete. That's a good looking sprayer there. Will definitely be looking into one of those. Also I like to use Quick Pro the granular. Less mess than the liquid.

Hey man I’m just starting with lawn care and everything, how much and how long did t take you to get a spray license? I’ve been wanting to get one for a while now
@GCITurf6 жыл бұрын
I took the test and got the license the same day. I'm in NC not sure how your state does it

Nice work Pete! That sprayer looks really well thought out and well built. Agitator built in is something I haven't seen on a consumer product. I'm trying to find a local source of the Daddy Pete's Soil product to do my raised flowerbed again, but I have my dadgum outdoor cat that keeps using my flowerbed as a litterbox. Any suggestions on how to prevent that? :D

Isn't the active ingredient in RoundUp just glyphosate? So can't you just purchase a generic brand that has 40%+ glyphosate as the active ingredient for significantly less? Compare and Save Weed Killer is basically the same product for less than half the price...

yep

I do a little landscaping on the side, and have done so since I was in middle school. Continued it all the way through college and still do it with a full time job in health care. I have a gallon jug of Compare and Save Weed Killer and that stuff is amazing for killing weeds in beds. I always use this stuff on weeds for clients especially before a mulching job. Its fantastic. I also use it for lawn renovations; where I kill off the entire yard, scalp the existing grass/weeds, then plant the seed.

My uneducated new knowledge is that Milo requires heat & water to work! I will only be using milo in my FL Saint Augustinegrass. If I need P after my next soil test. Loving Green County Fertilizer products! But darn I think I have a chinch bug issue. Will be calling my professional care guy for that! I only want good juice in my sprayer! HOA meeting with lawn care said it was homeowners over watering. Time will tell the truth!
