I wish there was a domestique award because Sepp Kuss deserves it. Without Kuss, Roglic doesn't win the Giro. Jonas absolutely depended on him as well. Sepp could have had a top-ten TDF but crashed on stage 20. Riding the Giro and TDF back to back is incredible in itself, but helping his team win the top races in the sports is outstanding. Sepp Kuss deserves more attention for what he has done in the last few years.

I believe the commentator should stop repeating (since yesterday) that vingegard has won the the tour by "incident or accident" we all have seen what happened and jonas had put on a show to deserve winning this tour by far. He has shown to ride smart and had held pogacar in check during the whole race and with the help of his team, which has done a superb ride on behalf of jonas. He might like pogacar more to win it maybe, but the road puts everyone on their place and jonas has legitimately shown he was the stronger rider and did not need any unfortunate situation from anyone to win this tour.
@eduardoazeredo6250

Actually he said Vingegaard could only lose the tour if an incident or accident happened because of the huge gap and the fact that the last stage generally is a festive one in which there is an unwritten rule of not attacking for the yellow jersey.

Best race for years for me. Those Yates boys are amazing. Can't argue with Vingegard. wanted Pidcock to shine but he never quite recovered fresh enough to attack properly this year. more to come from him. Awful lead out on the Champ Elysees for Pederson by Van Der Poel. Cavendish would have smashed these pups with Mark Renshaw doing a decent lead out. When he fumed Thor Hushovd on the same strip it's the singularly most dominant sprint anyone will ever witness.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

The final stage is considered "ceremonial." Unless, in the rare circumstance, a jersey is up for final resolution. After riding over 2,000 Km, the riders are happy for an "easy" day. That is, until they arrive in Paris and make a show for the fans. Finishing the Tour is quite the honor in itself. In this way, it guarantees the riders actually finish the race.

There nothing to fight, only stage win for sprinters. Tradition.

Tradition not to attack until after first time through Champs-Élysées Its also a flat circuit stage, so sprint teams are likely going to win

It's a gentlemans tradition, that only rarely has been broken. In 1989 when the Champs Elysees stage was a time trial, so obviously it made the stage a lot more aggressive than tradition. In fact it made for a much more exciting race, so I don't know why they haven't done it since 1989?

Thank you, GCN, for daily great highlights! Thank God I never once had to hear that fellow from Eurosport! 🙂Great TdF for Jumbo Visma, too. And Philipsen being the thug again. I wonder if he's trying to emulate Bouhanni. Du er chefen, Jonas!
