Alba has been attacking the SNP for the last few years. It's not benefitting Alba as they only got 0.5% of the vote. It's benefitted Britnat Labour. Alex Salmond when he was leader of the SNP said don't split the independence vote as this would help Britnat Labour, Liberal and Tories get elected. Now Salmond wants to split the independence vote and help the Britnats get elected. Reform split the right-wing vote this benefitted Labour and the Liberal parties.

The status of Scotland as a country and not a region of the UK is a legal matter, not a political one. I believe we can win the legal argument and then have a referendum to decide what to do next. Either a revised Treaty, where Scotland is no longer a junior partner, or Independence if enough people want it.

Congratulations Eva. I am galvanized by this result, and have joined Salvo, having already been part of Liberation Scotland. I am part of the Scottish diaspora, and have watched with dismay from afar at the mismanagement and exploitation of our country, and its people. I'm a nurse , and lived and worked in Glasgow in the late 90s and early 2000s, which we are supposed to look back on as 'good times'. People were struggling back then. Dennistoun, Penilee and other places were filled with life, but ignored and run down. I lived and worked there. I can't imagine what it's like now. Scotland must be free, for all its people to flourish. More power to all of you for keeping the dream alive, and more, having a plan to make it happen. Thank you from another Roddy.

The SNP have gone soft on independence and seemed to have moved away from it with focusing on policies that nobody wanted. They mention independence regularly with no substance to their rhetoric. Asking for a section order which will be denied and they know it. I will always fight for an independent Scotland but it won’t happen with them. I believed in them although becoming more suspicious of their motives since 2014. I feel betrayed. I cancelled my membership 2 years ago due to my growing disillusionment with the SNP. The Ammunition is there and they choose not to use it. The open goals they have missed have been quite an eye opener. Thanks for this.

The SNP told us that this election outcome could be a viewed as a mandate for independence, and Scotland gutted them. Methinks this means that Scotland doesn’t really want independence. Yes Labour just want to turn us into a giant battery for England’s use but Scotland mostly wants that it seems, rather than independence. The blame lies with Brexit. Not people buying caravans, not people embezzling a standard 6 bedroom house valuation’s worth of money, not people trying to do trans people a favour or clamp down on hate speech because there’s nothing else really to do while in office now that the UK union appears to have no legal escape route for Scotland and is just a constitutional oubliette in the end. This is not because of “woke” whatever that is and it’s not because of one wee wumman who never really got winging eyeliner for best effect. This is because of Brexit. We all saw what happened there and reasoned that independence will just make everything worse for Scotland.

Westminster has had Tory government's for 72 years of the last 100 years. The Scottish people haven't voted for the Tories by a majority since 1955. Westminster with 533 English MPs ignored the Scottish people, MSPs, MPs and the Scotish parliament and forced Scotland out of the EU. Damaging the Scottish economy.
