Thank you! I am glad that you showed step-by-step instructions clearly except that you did not show in this video how to disconnect and reconnect the wirings. I only like to see how it's done, I am still going to get a licensed technician to do the job. You are really good at explaining the process and the warning is so important to know. Thanks again!

Omg thank you! When I was replacing the GE surface radiant with a new GE radiant, I just assumed the cable connection locations were the same way as the OEM radiant. Was wondering why the radiant didn't work when all said and done. Saw your video and this applied to me 100%. The replacement GE radiant had different connection locations/labels from the original radiant. I put the cable connectors in the correct locations and problem solved. Thank you!

Thank you, thank you!!! saved me $1000. One of the big burners in my GE range went out a few years ago, and I've using the other one. It went out a few days ago. I was looking on Lowes and Homedepot website for a brand new oven The last minute, I searched on youtube ... Now just got to see if the burner ordered from Amazon will last or not ... fingers crossed.

Hi. This video is helpful. I had a question. How to you change the connector positions so that new 1b and original 1b appear in same location, and new 2a and original 2a are also in same location? Thank you.

had a question maybe you could help with. I have a GE Electric range and the front right dual burner will not turn on at all . . .and also the warning hot surface light stays on all the time as well even when surface is cold. . . .with the range plugged in and the knob turned on i take a multimeter and go between the leads on the element and I DO NOT HAVE 240V at the element where as when the other 3 burners are on i have 240v between the terminals on the element. DO you think the element is bad or the limiter switch is bad.
@greghight954 Жыл бұрын
You have two 120v wires that will read 240v when you measure between them. 240v isn’t the same as 240v in Europe.

What does it mean when all 4 burners went out same time, oven still works, was cooking thanksgiving reckon power serg and burnt something up. Is it and easy fix? My oven looks just like the one in video, GE automatic oven, in using the 3 wire hook up

I have the exact same stove. It feels like GE wants people just to go purchase a new unit. I mean what average normal person is gonna have a hex screwdriver and a wood plank lol. thanks anyways.

go to the local hardware store (Ace, TrueValue, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) and look for a nut driver for the particular screw size, or get a set. It costs about as much as a meal at a cheap family restaurant ($15 to $20). As for a piece of wood... look for a piece of scrap at the local lumber store or inquire at the Home Depot.
