GE Washer Drain Pump problems (Washer replacement)

It’s been 19 days since it was broken, so Animal Shelter workers decides to think of new washing machines. We were about to fix the pump, but here is nothing wrong with a filter. So they decided to get a new washing machine again. I mean this Ultra Fresh model looks new, but it started lasted for after 3 or couple years. And now they replaced to a new washer which is stay tuned! Enjoy!
(Update: GE Ultrafresh is no longer serviced and replaced to Maytag MHW5630HC in June 2023)

Currently having the same issue with our 8 month old washer from G.E. The tech has replaced the pump motor twice. On the second install, the pump motor was defective right out of the box. Our original pump motor was not clogged or dirty but GE won't replace the machine until after the third failed install which is absolutely insane! Currently looking for another brand!

The pump just needed to change lol not the machine but nice buy. ... also these residential washers are not built to handle the amounts of animal fur passing through them the pump will get jammed at some point... that said maybe the manufacturers should design a mesh filter to trap fur and not gum up the pump even if its an additional cost for those with pets.

Not all cases. I have close that model and mine did the same thing. I pulled the pump and it was out of spec electrically. I installed a new one and same issue no draining. I pulled the main board and it had a huge burn mark where the drain pump connection is. I installed a new board and all fixed. The board was about $200. The board fried and took the pump out. Still cheaper than a new machine. Now the inlet valves are squealing. I have a new set waiting to be installed. Easy to fix PITA to pull the machine out.

Cut the washer for the filter.. it is catching on the sides that is why it is having a hard time going in.

So they shouldn't buy such crap, if they bought Electrolux Beko or Whirlpool it would be fine

in the us we don’t have beko and i’ve heard they suck and someone had their pcb in their beko explode and also maytag is made by whirlpool.
