6:20 I agree with that completely. That's my current theory. Other people within his range are affected by his influence on the world. It also brings up some other questions throughout One Piece. If Gear 5 is Luffy doing things the way he wants to and people react the way he thinks they react, is that why Nami was always able to beat Luffy up like crazy. Like only Nami could do that, yet she doesn't have haki so she shouldn't be able to hurt his rubber body....but his body isn't rubber, it has the properties of rubber, but it's the mythical Nika.

I like watching the "last time" bit sometimes because that is how things went in the manga. That was the order of things, no added filler or add stretch time. That's how the manga felt in chapter 1044

The thought that Luffy can turn his imagination to reality and it effects the surroundings is crazy, I mean imagine in the future he uses Gear 5 and he is really pissed and really want to hurt his opponent. Can you imagine the cruelty he can do to him like if he is against Akino the one who kills his brother Ace, the feelings he has for Akino his mindset the imagination he has to him, I believe Oda will make it very very cruel and epic fight like never happened in any other anime.
