Always love your reviews and buy a lot of your recs. Help me make some decisions, please. You've heard from before with inane questions. More, but looking at new bags on the market - lighter-weight for EDC, due to shoulder/neck pain, so comfort is key. 21/22 liters max. 18.5" length max. A separate laptop compartment is a must. Clean but functional design. Urban setting. I walk a lot. Note: I can make a Goruck work even when I'm dressed up! Female, young 65, 5ft/5" tall. I own the old-style Slick, GR1 21L (and Heritage); GR2 26L; Bullet 15 (I find the 16 w/laptop compartment sort of stiff on the back (willing to give it another shot). Why Goruck: they fit the length of my torso and they're actually comfortable after wearing in the straps. But they're all heavy - except for the bullet. Robic, Dyneema - though I hear there are issues with the zippers?...I haven't had luck with Evergoods (the bottom is hard and punches my waist) but adore the look of all their bags. They have also been longer than their measurements say. The new bag looks promising as I hear it's more comfortable than the others (it looks long). Wisdom, please, wise one...happy holidays. In thee I trust.

No problem with zippers for me...except the VX21 GR1. I really think the 14L Laptop or even better, the 16L Double Compartment would be a great one for you based on the bag's shorter height. Those are both really nice designs with an edge to the Double.

Bullet DC16 on the way! I think Go Ruck is understating the capacity on these DCs. The DC16L is 20% more cubic inches than the regular 15L which would make it 18L. And the DC18L is 40% more cubic inches than the 15L, which would make it 21L. But GoRuck can't put out a "21L bullet." It will cannibalize their GR1 sales. So they call it 18L for product differentiation...

Yeah, I think so. Not sure if they're afraid of the sales on the GR1 dropping but I do agree that the volume capacity is a lot higher in these doubles.
