Great video man, saved me some money for sure. One thing tho, the washers that are bent are supposed to be that way. They are spring washers that keep tension on the gear. Thanks again for the great video !!!!

I've. Had the exact. Problem for 2 years, but didn't Want to go through the process. Of taking The seat out, thinking it was the motor going bad because half of the seat would move and the other half would stay in place. Wow thanks so much

Hey Bud , a terrific video. I have a 2011 CRV and when I go under the seat there are 2 small screws and a large bolt which adjusts the position of the seat going back and forth. I cannot disable the unit to change the gear. Would you know what I have to do as I don't want to take the seat out. Help

Your video popped up out of no where an now i think i have a solution to my seat not moving back an forward.. the thing is my seat doesnt move at all.. it just makes a clicking sound, could that be a bad motor?

Yeah possibly a bad motor being that I still was able to move my seat but the seat would move like off the track.

Wonder if this is the same as a 2001 I35....I have to do the driver's side front gear. I found a greasy pile of plastic gear parts under where the gear should be. If it works, I'll let you know !! Where did you just buy the gear????

I got a g37 does the same thing when I try to move it foward it tilts to the right but moving it back is fine. Should I give follow these steps or buy a whole new motor for the seat.? Thank you in advance .

Honestly I would try this first just being that the gear is cheap and can cause the seat to mess up. I know it can be a tutus project but in the end could save you alot of money. If you are having the symptoms that I showed in the video theres a chance it might just be the gear

Sorry for the late response. Honestly I dont know if its possible. I think they might make a tool that can manually turn the gear but it might be best to try and take the seat out and work on it that way wheather it being in the car

What I would do is find out what's the part number for the gear and look on ebay or Amazon. I got my gear off of ebay and it save me alot of money compared to other places

Pretty much what I did was look on Google under seat gear replacement and put what year my G was. Also put that it was a sedan. I found it on eBay for way cheaper the the dealership. You can always either ask your auto parts store what's the item number.

Unfortunately this just is to control the seat to move forward and back. The reclining issues could be a bad switch.

This is exactly what was wrong with my seat. Replaced gear and problem solved. Be careful alot of poorly manufactured replacement gears!
