Fully restored on the channel, but not if it's going to take as long as the SSP. 😂 It's nice to know/learn how to diagnose things instead of just going and replacing. I had a TFI module go out on the highway on my way to Foxtoberfest 2018 (blue car), luckily I found the right people to help and got back on the road...still made it there!

Oh man glad you made it. Yeah the TFI module was my first repair I did on my own. Next video will explain why I haven't been working on the SSP. Can't wait to watch your latest video Boomerang. Hopefully tomorrow. It's 2:30am right now and I got more comments to get to, LOL

I have an 86 5.0 and it would die intermittently, let it cool and it would fire back up again. one day it would not fire back up at all. After trying a different TFI module and getting no where with that. Looking on the internet I learned the PIP sensor controls the Injectors. Used a LED tester I made up and pinned one of the injector connectors and no light. Lucky I had a spare distributor , put that in and she fired up. To replace the PIP sensor in the distributor it is a bit of a pain in the ass. Helps if you have a press. Great video easy cars to work on. Can not do anything with the 2019 Mustangs
@GearHead7043 жыл бұрын
Nice work figuring that our Rob! Yeah we ended up replacing the PIP in a video here on the channel, and it wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but we got it done. In fact the distributor we used as a replacement in this video is that same one.

Great video man! PIP is often a culprit. They just go bad. Auction car off put funds towards SSP
@GearHead7043 жыл бұрын
Fore sure! Oh this 86 is not mine, so all the funds would go to Matt and Jenn if it's auctioned off. I'm going to explain why I haven't been working on the SSP in the next video.

Where do you come up with all this content? I think you could quite possibly have an addiction to foxbodies on your hands. Spending enormous amounts of time and money as well as it being constantly on your mind. An intervention might be appropriate before you start burning bridges with family and friends. The good news is you're amongst a bunch of fellow addicts and we can help you through the process. You could consider getting a sponsor to keep you accountable, maybe LMR or SVE could provide support. But we're in this together so don't forget that! 😉 #foxbodiesanonymous

LOL Mike, yes i'm definitely an addict of the FoxBody's hah hah. Well they aren't my sponsors in the sense that they pay me, but FMR definitely has that role for me. I get all my parts from Foxresto if I can, and they are great to work with even if I don't get paid for it, since Matt's teaching me and I"m learning so much cool stuff about these FoxBody's
