I use nothing but non ethanol 91 octane all year long in all 18 of my small engines. Towards winter time I give them a splash of Sea Foam. Works great up hear in northern Minnesota. That way I don't have to worry about draining out the crappy ethanol fuel. Been doing it for years and have never had a problem starting the engines back up in the spring. Ethanol mixed gas has a short shelf life, gums up carburetors and damages o rings, fuel lines, diaphragms etc. I do use it in my truck and the wife's van but never ever in anything that has gas sitting in the tank for more that a week.

One thing I've learned over the past couple of months while working at a Chevrolet dealership It matters where you start taking the tire off and putting the new tire back onto the wheel. We have several gas stations around here (Fond du Lac WI) where we always buy 91 octane gas w/ no ethanol which we use in all our small gas engines. We usually try to use up most of the gas in each machine and then add some Sta-Bil gas stabilizer for the winter.
@larrystockwell89945 жыл бұрын
Here in Minnesota we buy non oxygenated gas at the gas station. It is really just Ethyl/Hi test but has no ethanol just use it all the time in small motors or low use stuff, saves keeping track at the season change. Then just take the can from the mower to the snow blower. Always ready.

It’s always something on a farm. I never realized growing up on a farm we hardly ever depended on anyone else. We butchered our own meat and my mother had a one acre garden. I just don’t remember going to the store for much of anything. If anything broke my dad would bring it to me to weld. I taught welding in school when I was a junior and senior year of high school. There was a sense of accomplishment by doing it yourself.

Not sure the price of avgas, we use VP small engine fuel. It’s high octane and last years. Just talked to one of the engineers a few days ago. He stated in the original can it’s good for 4 years. Out of the can it’s good for two years. It comes in 50:1/40:1/4cycle. Not the cheapest but it’s done my farm and businesses well. They also make a mix called mechanic in a bottle. It has fixed two of my 2 cycle engines in less than 30 seconds.

Those tire pressure sensors are a pain.I am sure someone has already said this but here goes. I was taught by my dad to take the tire off at the valve stem first and put the tire on at the valve stem last. that keeps you from smashing or pinching the valve stem where it goes through the wheel. the pinch can cause a rubber valve stem to leak, let alone the plastic pressure sensors. Just tryin to help. good video. I watch all of your vids and keep up the good work.

Two suggestions. Stabill for the gas tanks and system. Second beads for the tires. They come in bags now and the wheels never go out of balance. Also the pressure sensor caps are a lot cheaper and work well with the beads.

Try using a product called Sea Foam. I have used it in all my engines. Once had a motorcycle that had been in storage for five years. Put a new battery in the bike and added a can of Sea Foam. A couple of days went buy and I tried to start the bike but it wouldn’t stay running. Put another can in it and waited a few more days. After a few tries it stayed running. My local farm equipment dealer uses it all the engines they service.
