Introduction to the GED® Test TI-30XS On-Screen Scientific Calculator -- English

I recently took the the 2014 GED Math test blind and missed by 5 point. I have to admit taking the test I was so freaking nervous because most of the things on there I wasn't taught in school. Been out since 2008. Now that I have this calculator I hope to pass & score high. Good luck everyone on the new GED tests.

My test is tomorrow! I was really nervous for the math. I'm a high school graduate and I had good grades in every subject except math...my biggest weakness. I have to take the GED because my high school wasn't accredited. So annoying. I feel a lot better now after seeing this. The calculator does all the work! My school didn't let us use a calculator like this. I'm feeling a lot more confident. Fingers crossed though. Good luck everyone!

I passed with honors and every subject except math, which I still managed to pass. The test was soooo easy. I passed in the 95th percentile or something. Thanks for asking :)

It's on screen :) so it's already given to you, and it is built into the computer

Tabitha Brooke Oh okay, thanks. Is it really true what that girl said is college level geometry and algebra? So far I haven't heard that anywhere else, other than that algebra is now 50% if the whole test. Is it really that difficult or not really? Sorry for asking you yet another question lol...

@@welcometomychannel5378 Both Social Studies an Language Arts were easy for me, I just did a little studying an passed both those the first time. I grew up reading a lot so I was good there, I never knew how to write a essay so I just brushed up on that. Math like a lot of us is another story, my worst subject, I'm going to try that test in about two weeks.

@@welcometomychannel5378 Just try to be calm an always go with your first instinct. I don't remember using a calculator for Social Studies. If so it most have been only 1-2 questions.

Word of Advice- the math that is in the 2014 GED test was college level algebra, calculus, and geometry. Be prepared and study for that. I thought it was going to be highschool level algebra boy was I wrong. My test results come back within 3-6 weeks still crossing my fingers that I passed

Social studies is the hardest one for me but on that note I feel like I would of passed math if I knew how to work this calculator at the time..

Its called practice people. The TI-30XS is better than the old one and I am taking the TASC in four days. I have done so much math (the only subject I need to pass.) its going to be a lot easier if you practice and know it it should be fine.

Sharifullah Sahak, where your did you take the test? Here in Missouri, it is not allowed. The calculator is just basic and is on the computer screen. The test is too difficult for a basic calculator. And I was so caught up with it! I TOTALLY forgot it was a formula sheet! But, you have to pull that screen up, as well! It was nerve racking!!!

+Nakia Layton I did! But, I didn't pass! I have SO many issues with it, It ain't funny! #1 You can only use the on screen calculator & formula sheet NO OUTSIDE MATERIALS! #2 It is a basic calculator NO SCIENTIFIC So, mix that with 50 questions ALL WORD PROBLEM, MULTIPLE CHOICE, and ALL 11TH & 12TH GRADE MATH!!! Not many are passing here in Missouri!!!

Asia Simpson its says it terms and conditions/the prep that the calculator used in the practice segment of the course was different than the calculator in the actual ged test.. reading takes you places. ~peace my friend~

ahh, I failed only by a few points but I wish you all good luck. I just wen through SECRETGEDLOOPHOLE and got mine through one of the A+ BBB schools they offer. I now have my diploma and am enrolled into school. Check out alternatives whether STATE or online, just make sure it is accredited. State ged alternatives is the Hiset..its cheaper and easier.
