The best part of this episode for me was the slow motion replay of Anne slapping the table just seeing the look on her own face. You can clearly tell that it absolutely wasn't intentional simply by the "oh ****" look she gets immediately XD

I just bought the "Ticket to Ride" game to my 10 year old son for Christmas present. The instruction video by Wil, Colin, Anne and Amy was great and I enjoy the chat during the game, it was so fun and i laught a lot. Now we are ready to play the game in Norway too. Thanks guys!!

Bought this game after seeing this and it's become my family's newest favorite. The best game I ever had was a very calculated game where I purposely sacrificed one of my routes (losing 8 points, I think) in order to connect both of my lines to have a singular 45 car line to win the longest train score, which won me the two extra points I needed to win that the route wouldn't have gotten me. (Nor would I have gotten the longest train score without the sacrifice move) It was the most suspensful game ever haha.

After looking at this game for well over a year and thinking it was a bit too much of a strategic based game for my wife who isn't into those types of games we watched this video this morning and she saw that it wasn't too bad. We played it with her parents and all 4 of us really liked it. Can't wait to play more. Subscribed to this station to watch more games before actually purchasing them, especially with the prices of some of them.

Coming back to rewatch the episode after a year, having watched entirety of Eureka in the last month. I only knew Colin from Primeval: New World. Despite showing up for just one episode there, I liked his character a lot. Now after watching Eureka, I can clearly see the behavior of Jack Carter :D It's interesting that both Neil Grayson and Colin Ferguson won their respective game. Hm... the residents of Eureka seems to have a lot of luck in these :D

Ticket to Ride is one of the first games we play, having 3 generations sitting around playing together like that is just fantastic and to be honest it probably wouldn't have happened if Tabletop hadn't come along, so for that I can't thank you enough.

You should. It's one of the best i tried. It's very easy to learn so you can play with anyone, yet it's strategical and really really fun. It has something of a classic boardgame fashion, reminds me of Risk! somehow.

I don't understand why Wil didn't draw additional routes after completing his initial ones. He had good city connections and plenty of trains remaining. At the very least Wil could have gone for a gamble on his last turn, seeing how long a route Colin had. Wil had such a long network, he very well might have drawn a route he had already completed. Though, admittedly, that's a bit of a cheap way to win the game :P

GEM4sta Well, I just personally find it a little cheesy. Like "I got lucky, guess I win now". I don't really have any remotely objective arguments to support my view, it's just not a practice that I personally find to be nice.

EdwardBerner The only issue is that the whole game is based (at least 50%) on getting lucky. I'm just saying, no matter how you win, you at least had some luck to it.

GEM4sta Well yea, but earlier in the game you at least have a chance to make it work, and with the intial routes it is even possible to try and plan ahead. Last-turn route drawing, to me, is like saying "I know I'm gonna lose, so might as well take a chance for some points or lose even more profoundly". It just feels like a dick move to me, like you're not respecting the experience and are just "in it to win it". Of course some people find it to be fine, and I don't blame them. I just personally find it a little cheap to do that
