I like this form factor, too. Just ripped out the burnt-out guts of my 2006 Mac Mini and screwed in a Raspberry Pi4. Looks ridiculous, but I like that little box.

11:16 I'd avoid those eGPU with built-in GPU cards as you can't upgrade the cards in the future. I'd get something like a Razer Core X Chroma or an AKiTiO Node Titan enclosure and get any Nvidia GeForce 30 series desktop GPU cards. Maybe the base and mid-tier GeForce 40 series could do as well.

I'm bummed the Dev Kit machine still seems on hold, but I think we'll get some solid options late early next year. 👍

Imagine when those are put inside computing sticks. They would be 4x more powerful than those cherry lake or celeron computers. Still running windows.

It'll be a fun transition, especially with the lower power ARM chips. Passive cooled X Plus is gonna be rad.

@@yensteelI'd so love to see ARM-powered PC stick. About time we see such a thing.

What's the difference between this (XT13 Pro) and the GT13 Pro (other than looks)?!

eGPU was honestly my first question. I feel like those don't get enough serious consideration and round out computers like these.

Wait for Thunderbolt 5. Then eGPUs will become viable.

The good: Excellent for bland office work, data analysis with Power BI or Tableau, programming, and retro gaming. Also, easy to place on the back of a TV or monitor (24-32 inches). The bad: Not good for modern games (especially AAA) due to a mediocre iGPU, not recommended for 4k video editing, and weird SD card manufacturing. Also, uses slower and older DDR4 RAM. However, DDR4 RAM prices are cheap enough that you can easily buy 64 GB of RAM and easily add it to this mini-PC. 64 GB of DDR4 is fast enough to compete with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM with extra space.

How reliable is the Raptor Lake chip?

As far as I knew, the main stability issues were on the proper desktop sockets, not the mobile parts? Someone will have to correct me on that if I have it wrong.

@@SomeGadgetGuy I only have a couple mini PCs that run as home servers and just sit there all day headless. Been thinking about one I actually would use as a computer for stuff as well, since 90% of the time my laptop is plugged in via HDMI anyways. May as well mount a mini PC and call it a day.
