I'm a high-end slore when it comes to makeup I'm trying to switch over to drugstore to save money without losing quality. I bought this today and honestly it's seriously pretty I'm a little mad at myself I've spent so much money on fancy foundations and this $6 foundation looks this good. How did I miss this one? Well rectified that now. Only recently got my hands on the tinted hydrator from them and I'm absolutely in love. I put it on without primer and it blurred my pores and felt so lovely. Wore really nice for the few hours it was on too. Then I started thinking about the photofocus dewy and knew you must have done a review on it. Thanks for this Shelly.

I also appreciate your help with shades ended up choosing shell ivory perfect neutral. The Camo concealer was too dry for me as well so I was excited to try the Hydrating version. Just as I did for the Camo concealer, I bought the two lightest shades, Fair Beige and Fair Rose, and although both lines have the same shade names, they are significantly different. Both shades in the Camo line are very fair, one is neutral and one is slightly cooler, and almost too light for my NW10 skintone, but the Hydrating ones are 1-2 shades darker than my skintone and very yellow. I'm really unhappy that I can't use any of them and I just don't understand how this can happen. I know different formulas can alter the shade range slightly but this is a drastic difference, especially at the very fair end of the spectrum. Sorry for the long explanation but if you're as fair as I am, you'll be out of luck with this one.

Cara M. Don’t apologize for a lengthy reply when you’re giving good information. I didn’t know they were making a hydrating formula. I tried the original and after one go, it went right to my daughter. My under eye area actually itched from the original. Guess I won’t be trying the new one if it’s that dark. Shelly and I are pretty close in skin tone too. Things that match her generally match me.

I actually wear foundation and concealer about 1, sometimes 2, shades lighter than Shelly so the lightest shade in the Hydrating concealer may work for you but I don't think it will be brightening and could potentially be too yellow for you as well. For reference, Shelly wears Estee Lauder DW in 1C1 Cool Bone, which is too dark and almost orange on me and until their recent shade expansion, there wasn't a match for me. Thankfully, they added 4 lighter options, of which 1C0 Shell, the 2nd lightest, is a perfect match. Shelly also wears NW15 in MAC which is 2 shades darker than what I wear, NW10. If you are closer to my skintone, the Hydrating concealer doesn't have a shade for you but if you're closer to Shelly, it may. Hope this helps!

It would actually be more cost-effective if they are manufacturing in China, so I have no doubt it's true. I also heard they've been manufacturing in China for years. It's one of the first mainstream, commercial brands that has taken pride in being CF, and has made a point of stating that fact (long before it became such a popular stance), and if you think about it, the decision to finally sell in China came immediately after China revised their testing mandates.

I really don't trust anything made in China. Communist governments don't care about safety and quality standards. I studied in China for a semester and believe me there is no value for life in that country, do you really think they care about make up quality and chemical ingredients?? I highly doubt it. Read all labels.

Hi Shelly! Thank you for including the CYO Lifeproof foundation in 101 in your swatches. That is my favorite foundation and the 101 is the only shade that is closest to my perfect match. ❤❤❤

CYO in 101 is also a great match for me but, if you're looking for other options, my two other favorites are MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 and YSL All Hours in BR10, both of which are a bit cooler but almost identical to 101. There's no difference on me when applied. I do find that 101 has a slightly grey undertone, something I like, and the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in shade 13 is just as light with that same undertone.

Think I've found my holy grail! It's the cheapest and best I've found! I have extremely dry skin and for $5, none of the other drugstore foundations I've tried compare to performance or price. Didn't feel tight or settle in my fine lines. Since I'm 50, it's a winner for this bargain babe! Great review!🏆

Wow Shelly! This looks fantastic on you!! 😍 It Gives You That Healthy Hydrated glowing goodness to your skin. Really like this one on you, color and all! Its not overly dewy so you don't look like a grease ball and its not so faint you barely see it. Definite keeper in my opinion. I think 8 hrs wear is pretty good for what your paying for it and on average that's about all you need to get you through a work day. You prob could freshen it up A bit and go back out for the evening. I wonder how well it would do on norm to dry combo? Might have to check it out. Bummer with the breakage on the other shade. Hopefully you will have no issues returning it and getting A replacement or refund. I'm very interested in the Revlon Age Rewind line they just released. The 2 reviews I've seen on it (Allura & Allie Gaines) gave it great reviews but neither in my opinion have "mature" enough skin. I need that 45 + review lol to convince me. Would definitely like to hear your thoughts on A wear test of the line. Foundation, blush, lips and concealer specifically. Not really interested in the powder as much. Thank you for reviewing these shades of the dewy foundation which was my match on shade finder btw I'm using 22B shade of Tarte foundation and concealer so I am kinda in doubt between shell ivory and rose ivory (3rd shade is buff bisque but it's darker). Your review help alot 'cause due to corona they don't have testers in Turkey and my mission is: 'I will buy whatever I can from Wet N Wild while I'm in Turkey'. Never used the brand before and I'm gonna try all their products :D I have combination skin and some pimple scars and I know its a dewy formula but most of my other foundations are oil free matte formulas and after a couple of hours, despite setting powder, my skin starts to get a little oily so I gave up my matte expectations lol. I will go to Wet N Wild counter tomorrow to check the shades IRL ,that I found online. Great video review. Glad I found you :)

Nice! I'm so glad this performed pretty well - coz I liked the look of the finish, and I think the undertone of both the rose & the shell shades I could get away with and are quite pretty (no overt orange or yellow).. hope we get it soon, coz W&W here don't charge us much more than the exchange rate equivalent price (unlike the likes of Maybelline, Loreal, Revlon, Elf, Milani, etc who all charge us twice to triple the US prices).

Ulta's shipping process is horrendous!!!! My last order I placed took over a month to get, after about 2 wks UPS said my order was lost and I had to open a claim, 2 wks later the order showed up 💁 Ulta cld have cared less that I had to wait that long and they where not helpful at all....

After all Ulta is paying UPS good I'm money I'm sure and UPS isn't holding up their end of the agreement. If this was the first time this had happened to me it wldnt be a big deal but it has happened dozens of times over about a year and a half time period

Hi Jeana! I didn't have very good luck with the Elf. It only wears for about 6 hours on me before it starts breaking down, and looks quite dry on me. I was at Ulta today and found that Milani has a new foundation out called, Screen Queen Natural Finish Foundation. It claims to have a luminous, natural finish. My store had testers (YEA!!), so I didn't have to guess what shade to buy. Unfortunately, the shades do not have the same name/number system of their original formula but it appears to go pretty fair on the light end of the spectrum. It also does not contain denatured alcohol or fragrance. :) I picked up a bottle to try out tomorrow. After 2 wearings of the NYX Born To Glow foundation, I'm not happy with it at all. It's not dewy or glowy in any way, shape or form and the shade is way off. Wish they had testers. :-( I'm between the shades Vanilla and Warm Vanilla. The regular vanilla was too pink for me so I bought the warm vanilla. I look like I'm in full liver failure. :-O I love NYX eyeshadows and lipsticks but I give up on their foundations. No shade is even close and the formulas don't agree with my skin's texture. Oh well..... Looking forward to the new Milani. It looks promising. :-)

I just bought the new Milani! The testers had a huge jump between the fair and light cool toned ones, and swatched I already know the fair is too light for me and the light is too dark. I ordered a second shade online but I am not very hopeful. I'll still test it, of course!

@@goow Will definitely look forward to your review! I wore the new Milani foundation today, applied with a brush. I also picked up a bottle of the CoverGirl Trublend Liquid Makeup with the white cap. I'm trying that one tomorrow and will decide if one is better than the other. :)
