Well the fish transformation and wasp got reversed, but I always assumed she still had bits of feline DNA permanently and if she so much as touched mutagen she'd become a cat again. I remember in the 90s episodes (the "Red Sky" episodes where the tried to be more serious) one season focused on mutant terrorists a mutant hateing future cop shows up specificly to prevent he getting mutated or it will somehow doom the future? This woman who is like moments away from being turned into a mutant constantly!?

Before Lola Bunny in Space jam or Sally Acorn in Sonic Satam, April's mutant transformations was the pure definition of anthropomorphizing anything. There was an episode in the 90s X-Men cartoon where Rogue transformed into a lizard alien. She looked hot as a scalie. Thank God there aren't any existing episodes of Pokemon where humans turning into a Pokemon was a thing. At least not that I know of, even though a lot of people already draw rule 34 art of that happening

Although the fifth Pokemon movie I believe showed these human protagonists turning into some sort of legendary Pokemon. But that one episode in Sun and Moon where Lana's sisters are in that dream world and where Ash's Alolan friends turn into marionettes was pretty questionable not gonna lie

Hearing the plots of the transformations: i like the Catwoman one. It was pretty dumb of her to step on the device but Shredder using her now form that wasn't in the right mind to kill Splinter was pretty smart, including snatching a tiger to help. The 80's series might have been goofy and dumb at times but had some shining moments here and there.

I mean, Shredder did have a gun-looking device that could turn them back into ordinary turtles. it was meant to be bait to lure them in, and Splinter destroyed it despite how it could've restored him to a human, for the sake of there safety. Shredder even displayed it by un-mutating one of his original men we saw in the first episode.

The episode where April was turned into a catgirl due to one of Shredder's experiments was one of the best episodes of TMNT (1987). And even though Cat April tried to eat Splinter, I felt that there was a kind of romantic relationship between April and Splinter in TMNT (1987).

I'm convinced that even back then there were furries. (i.e. the monkey and agent Honeydew from Dexter's lab and Swat Kats) And they took it out on a children's cartoon show. There wasn't no internet back then so this was one of those *creative* ways. Now that we have the internet, this "concept" can be reached to its dirtiest potential.

At that rate I surprised she didn't become a chimera, lol. Wait a minute.......an episode where she mutates into a chimera creature and gets controlled by the foot clan to fights the turtles forcing them to try to find a cure but have to hurry cause the military is called in and will shoot her if the turtles arrive late. In the end, they treat her to returning her to human but still have the mutation damage, keeping her as chimera and randomly. Grant her abilities on their adventures....... Wait, never mind, I'm keeping that idea, lol 😆

I liked the cat one myself. My biggest surprise how ever is with how popular this trope that April only got mutated 4 times in franchise history!? 35 years this franchise has existed and only twice? They've had 2 Tsudara Fox Ninjas show up, a rather specific character but the main female ally has only gotten transformed 4 times? Yeah the 2016 Show cheated as she was a "Natural" mutant so the mutagen did nothing, but the made up for it with distubing malfomed clones, so creepy...
