One of my favorite jokes in the movie is that they play the LOGAN score during Deadpool's death scene at the end.

Russell never came off as a mutant so powerful that he couldn’t be stopped in the future. His fire powers seem so run of the mill and his reason for becoming evil seems so common that anybody in that orphanage could’ve been a threat. In fact it seems inevitable that some phycho mutant would kill Cable’s family if he couldn’t take down adult Russel

I enjoyed this movie. I REALLY resisted killing Vanessa 5 minutes into the film, and I don't think the stuff with Russell and Deadpool works as well as it should. But overall this a wildly fun and entertaining movie to watch. I liked most of the humor and action was solid.

Apparently there was a cut after credits scene where Deadpool smothers a baby Hitler in his crib which is set up earlier in the film where Deadpool tells Cable he should have killed baby Hitler. From what I've heard test audiences were left feeling uncomfortable for obvious reasons so they cut it. Maybe it'll be on the DVD.

Deadpool gave this kid the benefit of the doubt. He knew there was a strong possibility that this kid would grow to become a deadly supervillain, but he persisted and inspired Russel to turn over a new leaf. Meanwhile at DC... Superman gives up on trying to convince Batman within a minute and throws him through a building. The moment you realize that Deadpool, a deranged sociopath, is more optimistic and hopeful than Superman at the moment.

When it comes to these Deadpool movies, my feelings almost entirely align with Eric. I’d give the first movie a 6, I’d give this new one a 7. I found it much funnier, it told a better story, it was (marginally) better directed, and I actually cared about what happened to the people. The final act, though, is pretty bad but it didn’t derail my experience.

The sequel could be called "Deadpool and the X-Force." I think you could make it a great series where the roster changes between movies. The fourth wall break joke that I enjoyed the most was "hey big guy, sun's getting real low" because it just surprised me.

Did anyone else notice dream’s helmet (sandman) in the background of Vanessa’s heaven place? I could swear I saw it and it jumped it at me because I happen to be doing a re read right now.

I just recorded my own spoilercast for this yesterday (although it won’t be uploading for a couple days). I was *super lukewarm* on it personally. I felt really emotionally disengaged, and I don’t think this movie knows how to properly handle any of its characters outside of Wade himself. The choice to kill Vanessa struck me as a real lazy trope thing, and I was really put off by everything about that through the whole film. I think it’s got too many balls in the air and for as hilarious as X-force is, I’d have actually cut it from the movie so I could give more time to the characters the film clearly *wants* me to care about. I far and away preferred the first movie.

Maybe people walk out of movies when the credits begin because they've decided that the film is over in their mind. They know the movie proper HAS ended and now they just want to get back to their lives outside of moviegoing. I walk out when credits start now. I don't accept film studios' mandate that I must stay to see sequel-bating or some final throwaway gag.

I liked this movie more then the first one. I don't think it's funnier but I enjoyed it more. I also walked out of the first one loving it but then found it didn't hold up on rewatches so I hope that doesn't happen with this movie. I couldn't stop laughing at Fire Fist's accent especially every time he said friend or revenge. They should have made fun of Josh Brolin in Jonah Hex like they do with Green Lantern and Ryan Reynolds. My favourite joke in the movie was probably the song from Annie playing. That or the Rob Liefeld can't draw feet line which made me feel awkward because no one else in the theatre laughed at it.

TheDayGhost An issue of the movie is that a lot of the jokes are kind of “Inside-baseball” and that joke is an example of jokes that only a handful people will get.
@TheDayGhost6 жыл бұрын
alexh4319 I agree but at the same time I'm glad they are willing to go there instead of just doing the obvious "geek" jokes that everyone would get like The Big Bang Theory. One of the funniest things was when when Juggernaut talks about his brother because people in the theatre were really confused.

I loved the fourth wall breaking, but felt that the emotional scenes were completely ruined by the fact that Deadpool didn’t even care when the innocent X-Force recruits died in horrific ways. I’m all for dark humor, but why have that scene when we’re also supposed to believe that Deadpool genuinely cares about the kid and whether or not the kid kills people?
@jman28566 жыл бұрын
It’s a shame Ryan Renoylds keeps choosing these mediocre to downright bad projects like R.I.P.D when he really gets to show his talents in these Deadpool films. Ryan also isn’t that bad of a singer if you know what I mean. ;)

Having seen all the Marvel superheroes and storylines now merged into this one larger cause, it’s refreshing now to take this step back, pump the brakes and dive into some surprisingly deep character work, more than anything we saw in that full two hours and 40 minutes of Infinity War. And this is coming from Deadpool, where depth of character is perhaps among the last things you’re expecting.

This is not a movie, it is a bunch of deadpool snl skits slap together. It is funny at times but a lot of jokes recycled from the first movie. There is no storyline or plot and very weak villain. Once again we have an r-rated x-men movie were a kid/kids cannot be killed.
