New Thrawn manages to save the Deathstars secrets while dealing with an Rebelcell that managed to stir up the mandalorians into civil war, had two somewhat competend Jedi,one of the Rebels best pilots and gets beaten by potentialy the best animal friendship user in lore (seriously Ezras proficency with it is pretty amazing given how many animals he gets at least not eaten by) and only loses with a very big deus ex machina wich in turn puts him in a good space because he escaped the Imperium without commiting outright treason , mind you same Imperator wanted to have a long and possibly not so friendly talk with him after lothal . Legends Thrawn got backstabed by his bodyguard because someone outsmarted him

You really need to reread the thrawn trilogy and redo this video, the Noghri and rukh bided their time after learning of what the empire had done, and waited before striking. Plus Thrawns backstory is also expanded in the classic TIE Fighter PC game of the 90s, which is where the TIE Defender comes from as well, as Thrawn starts out in the game as a vice admrial and commands the player for a chunk of the campaign.

What if Thrawn was under Anakin Skywalker's command during the Clone Wars? Many Clones will be saved and the battles would have won early thanks to both Anakin's leadership and Thrawn's being a genius strategist and tactics. Thrawn will have a rivalry with Admiral Trench(who like Thrawn was also a genius strategist) and General Grievous since Thrawn and his forces decimated both the latter's forces easily. Trench saw him as his worthy foe while Grievous will be infuriating and upset towards him. Of course, Thrawn would likely investigate Darth Sidious and his plans as he realized the Sith Lord is played in both sides like a chess so Thrawn will enter the game and decided to play with the Sith.

I don't like what they tried to do with Thrawn, Disney seemed to think that he also had to be a super soldier. Often going into the field personally and being well versed in martial arts and stuff. Don't get me wrong, I've always assumed he knew martial arts, as most officers would. However Thrawn was a commander, he didn't deploy to the front because it's obviously tactically unsound, command and control isn't obtained from the frontlines and Thrawn sitting on the bridge of the Chimera was always more intimidating to me, this calculative strategist, much more impressive than the typical general that it seems every movie trope has.... As if General's ever lead charges.

Thrawn did go to the surfare to meet Kardde in Legends. And he never went personally to battle when he was a Grand Admiral or a Admiral except when he was with Vader only when he was a Captain in the empire or a commander in the Chiss Ascendancy.

And was well aware about the imperial training system so I see no reason why he wouldn't take on Kallus he and Eli alone took out a bunch of criminals in the book "Thrawn" which was written by Timothy Zahn. And when he landed on Atollon he was just holding a command position and never was close to the combat and was only present when the Rebels were captured.

Thrawn's first appearance was in the novel Heir to the Empire which was published and released in the 90s and later in Dark Force Rising and The Lost Command. He was a Legends character and a damn good one. Both the OG Thrawn Trilogy and Outbound Flight were bloody fantastic and well worth a read through.

Just take a look at the Father/Anakin fiasco in his Clone Wars show. "Just" a prophecy isn't much of an interjection, it was intended that Anakin really is born gifted following the structure of the story. That doesn't mean Anakin is wise, or that he was born with trustworthy judgement and life experience. The whole idea of the premise is that Anakin could potentially become a very skilled and talented commander given his innate intelligence and the spatial skills that would make a veteran fighter pilot envious
