I had such a crush on him as a girl, religiously watching Medical Center. I knew about Shelby (she showed up on the show, as I recall). It's so wonderful how they stayed in love and married to the end and how soon after her passing he went over. Clearly, they were meant to be together. Chad Everett still remains, imo, one of the handsomest actors we've had. Such a lovely, affectionate couple. How blessed they were to find each other.

I love their story. Not to be nitpicky, just one minor correction for accuracy: When Chad talks about have Chris distract Shelby's fixed up publicity date that they all were at, Chad mentions the guy by name, "Jody McCrea" (son of film star Joel McCrea, who did some of those "Beach Party" movies with Frankie and Annette), however, when Chad mentioned Jody's name, a photo came up that was supposed to be Jody, but actually happens to be a photo of Tab Hunter. Just FYI'ing you.

Lily Tomlin would have been much classier had she stuck around and graciously let him know that she didn't appreciate his remarks, and let him stew in it. But no, she had to act all indignant, and go clutch her pearls offstage. Pfft ... What, you've never said anything stupid or embarrassing in public? Chad Everette was a drunk -he before he died admitted it- he also had a hell of a ego, once while watching a day time talk show the same week that John Wayne died-Everette stated "now that John Wayne is dead, I am the only real man in Hollywood"--he once stated he owned two things is horse and his wife- and bragged that on the day his wife agreed to marry him he drove to every bar in town toasting her, I guess he never heard of drunk driving.
@vikkinicholson23004 жыл бұрын
he was a hair egotistical and his statement about "owning" his wife turned lot of people off. Lilly Tomlin walked off a show he was on when he said it. Everett was surprised she walked out on purpose and kinda backtracked saying they both "owned" each other. Using that term is not PC and off putting ...better to have said we "belong" to each other. Water under the bridge now.
