The most raw ending to JJK is the one implied that everyone dies except Megumi, imagine last page is Megumi waking up in the middle of the chaos left by Sukuna with everyone laying on the ground (including Sukuna) Megumi did said to Itadori he wanted to be saved, so he was the only one saved at the end.

Gege is an amazing writer and for his first manga, this is an absolutely amazing story. It’s sad that since he wants to move on to another manga, he seems to be rushing the end of the manga. JJK deserves at least one more arc after Shinjuku. Hopefully even though this is the last arc, Gege will make more in the arc and still wrap up everything. Hopefully we are only around the middle part or a little after in Shinjuku. I will miss JJK.

I love how despite understanding how weak you were, you made a commitment to help Maki topple a powerful clam pf sorcerers. It was easy to doubt you then you went ahead and over powered a special grade sorceror likely superior to the demon, Toji Fushigoro. Then you faced off against the strongest in history, show cass your ridiculous powers by dodging, deflecting and hitting Sukuna hard enough to force him to let your sword go. Like gojo, your personality kinda got overpowered by your strength then... we remembered you devoured kenjaku. That was when I saw Yuta again. The man who didnt care about strength but life his friends and mentors able to live. Rest in Peace, Yuta. Gege is going to get you killed we know that much. Maybe you'll fail purple, maybe Sukuna will use his legendary anti yuta technique he hasn't used since the heian era or perhaps uraume will break the barrier. There’s a maximum of 25 chapters left but I don’t think it’ll take that long. Probably 10 more chapters of fighting Sukuna, Yuji finishing the job, then the Merger one way or another for a chapter, then the rest for the battle against the Merger/stopping it (it presumably isn’t an instantaneous event)

I’d figured If the Shinjuku arc is one of the 3 big arcs Gege planned it will probably be as long as Shibuya and the Culling Games so it will run for 50-60 chapters so we still got a solid few dozen chapters left. So I can see the merger happening really soon and the crew having to deal with it in a span of a dozen or so chapters.

I think an important factor in storywritting is that while Gege creates these characters in a rivetting way, it's ultimately the audience that gives these stories true life, we are the difference between JJK being just another webtoon story and a masterpiece. Do I want more JJK? Of course but I do think this being the final arc makes sense, this is the culmination of Yujis development as a character. If there was another arc I feel like it would drag on cause I cant see the heights of it reaching the take down of Sukuna and for those saying "The Merger" would be its own arc.. it very likely isnt. like I dont see it taking 20+ Chapters to take down, I think if we DO get the Merger (cause im not convinced the merger will happen) then it will be 5-10 MAYBE 15 chapters of really tightly packed action, suspense, development before it is defeated. and knowing how Gege cuts things off without a care for the audience I will be surprised if we get anything more than a single "Where are they now" chapter after a small time skip Edit: Also for the "Merger final arc" there is nothing specific about it to differentiate it from the Shinjuku Showdown, I mean Gojo was killed and the arc name remained when the others came in. I personally think that, if Shinjuku is going to be the final arc, then the Merger is going to be like de deicide mini-arco in Bleach. Basically, deicide was the final segment of the Fake Karakura Town arc when everyone was fighting hogyoku Aizen, and I think is going to be like that. I wish that JJK would end a little bit differently, specifically with Sukuna losing at full power, not while being the undeniable strongest of all time, but if it works it works I guess

Kind of hoping to see Rika enter the battle and ultimately be the reason Yuta is defeated due to Sakuna being able to get that 20th finger. After defeating Yuta Sakuna begins the merger no longer having interest in anyone remaining after both Gojo and Yuta's defeat, still regarding Yuji as insignificant. Only issue with this is if it's the final arc, how much would Sakuna getting his final finger really reempower him and would it even be smart of him to start the merger in his state. Imo the story ending before the merger is even manifested would be a huge let down for me.
