Can't believe how short the 14.5 looks with everything mounted on it. Was thinking of building a 12.5 for my gpr with a dbal 2 but maybe that won't have enough rail space to leave room for a proper c clamp grip.

I know this is late, but do you have any information on these rails bending? I really have no other confirmation on it happening other than the internet’s insistence. As luck would have it, I bought two before I even knew about it. Is there any truth to the statement that these rails have issues with bending?
@RedactedGear2 жыл бұрын
Not that I have seen, I have bumped, dropped, and bonked my rail off of plenty of stuff since Ive had it and haven't had any issues! I believe it was only prevalent on the early model rails, they beefed them up at one point.

Nice setup. Had a question concerning the optic/mount. To my knowledge the H1 isn't NV friendly. Was the 1.93 just preferable for heads up posture or do you plan to mount a NV friendly Aimpoint in the future for passive aiming?
@RedactedGear3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't think the H1 has a NV setting but the first setting on it is so dim that it works to quickly find the target and go, I just wouldn't recommend looking at it for minuets on end but it works just fine not having a NV setting without damaging your tube. (I wouldn't recommend this if you have a low quality tube, I have L3 tubes in my 15's and haven't had any issues but again any constant light in any capacity in the same spot for prolonged times will damage an image intensifier regardless of make and model)

What’s the major difference between the URGI and the 14.5 super duty rifle?

@RedactedGear3 жыл бұрын
I did not know that I will have to look into it, my assumption was just a few parts switched out to satisfy the military, but I didn’t know about that 🏴☠️
@RedactedGear3 жыл бұрын
I just looked at what you’re talking about, yes I did notice that but that only applies to the complete super duty, and the anti rotation tab is a bump in that rail that notches into the receiver to keep the rail straight. The URGI rail that you can buy stand alone has two hex head grub screws that will hold onto the receiver, you can see them in my video, I think the only way to get that anti rotation tab is on a complete super duty, a stand alone rail from them shouldn’t have that. But then again they may sell those rails with the anti rotation tab. Granted what I just talked about is what you were referring too 😂
@timgleason29103 жыл бұрын
@@RedactedGear wait..... I think the the anti-rotation tabs will fit different lowers. Because the the different is only on the rail to the upper receiver connection of the gun, not where the lower receiver connects to the upper...lol. Right? I’m losing my mind.. 😂

why call it a urgi if its not clone correct? wrong color rail, different receiver. just call it an upper u had built. Also the rail is a mk16 not a urgi. the urgi is what the army builds it into. they get a kit with the rail charging handle and super 42 h3 buffer from Geissele and a 14.5 mid length chf barrel and mk12 lo pro gas block from daniel defense and then a military armorer puts it together with a disassembled sopmod upper and uses the upper receiver and bcg from the donner upper and builds it off that. nice rifle u have though. just dont know why u called it a urgi, i think its nicer with the parts u have. i would call it your custom upper.how does ur sling swivel turn,they didnt make it anti rotation because the sling swivel hits the pic rail and wont move past that. Anyone who gives u shit about the bad lever is dumb,some morons have nd and blame it on the lever when in reality its their fault. I know about 50 unit operators that use them daily and even more nave smu guys and nobody has ever had a nd with or without them. pushing somthing up or out is not pulling back on a trigger thats an inch away. ok ill shut up now.
