I love this!!! I need to go back a year in your videos to see this. (This shirt came up on my home feed, so nice to see YT promoting your videos from so long ago) ❤

It is so awesome... that actually is one of the cool things about YT and building the library of content we do. If you ever want to nerd out about YT and things we use to help with growing let me know.

@@PMartistStudio i absolutely would love that Mariah!!! Anytime. I turned monetisation back off because my videos started plummeting. I’ll introduce it gradually I think 🤔. Thank you ❤️

Can you use sublimation paint then heat set it, do you know? In this instance I would have to use a polester t-shirt. Are you using a cotton shirt? Can you heat set it! Mahalo from Maui.
@PMartistStudio6 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely and yes the shirt was cotton.

Beautiful 🤩. How long did you wait for it to transfer?
@PMartistStudio7 ай бұрын
Over night to really makes sure that amount of paint had melded and adhered to the shirt. Key tip to this is prewash any shirts... the sizing or any starching they have will block the paint from fully adhering to the fabric.

Magnifique ! Which kind brand of painting do you take for the tissus- is it good for washing machine ?
@PMartistStudio Жыл бұрын
Thank you and we just use standard acrylic paints and didn't even add fabric medium (it tends to make the paint thinner). Yes we have washed the shirts and and especially the first of the prints that have more paint hold up nicely in the wash. Lighter painted ones are fading some, but not in a way that bothers us.

It seems that it would have to be paint specifically for clothing or it will eventually crack & come off.

This is super idea. But do we use only acrilic paint. How do we wash that
@PMartistStudio Жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 Yes acrylic paints are ideal and best to pre wash all fabric before applying

Beautiful! If you flip your plate over and let it dry completely you'll get every bit of paint off it :)
@PMartistStudio2 жыл бұрын
So on the shirts we try to get at least two pulls before letting it dry completely onto the shirt, which is extremely satisfying. Thank you so much for watching.

can you use block printing ink for this technique on clothes?
@PMartistStudio Жыл бұрын
Yes but really depends on the type of ink (there are waterbased ones) and as for the gel plate you would want to check out the speedball plate that is designed to work with akua inks.
@ellmay19 Жыл бұрын
Is that plexiglass you have the plate attached to?
@PMartistStudio Жыл бұрын
Yes it is and we have it cut at the hardware store. Thank you for watching!

Pray tell, how did you attach it?

Have you tried fabric paint instead of acrylic? I wonder if it will work well with the gel plate, i only saw people using acrylic on fabric im a bit worried that it will fade away with washing it many times
@PMartistStudio Жыл бұрын
On the plate the fabric paint we have was too fluid... there is addictive to make acrylic paint softer but again it makes it more fluid which is harder to do this technique. Many of the shirts we have done have been worn and tested by our 5 now 6 year old and are holding up well. Some shirts we did that we didn't wash before printing have faded and that was due to the fabric needing to be washed before printing.
