I bought some A4 fridge magnet meal planners and I use those as my sacrificial plate, rather than the plastic. Then only last for about 20 or so passes (depending on the die used), but if you can get them cheap enough. My main plates are as flat and new as when I bought them about 12 months ago . :) I think that the Gemini II is a great reason for them to double the price overnight while keeping their product looking fresh. I love the spinning on there, but the casing is just bells and whistles that to me does not justify the price hike. Saying that, when my Gemini dies I am more than likely to get the new one. Great video showing all the info that we as crafters need to know. Thank you.

Hi thank you for sharing! I hope you enjoy your new crafting toy. I too fell victim to the gemini ii but you know what, I accidentally baked my clear acrylic plates too long to attempt to flatten the plates. Guess what happened, the clear plates turned white and hard. I cut on those plates for two years without changing to new plates. Just review the foil method to un-warp clear plates, leave the plates until they turn white and hard. However, you must keep flipping the plates during the baking process. I hope this is helpful, I am going to try this when I have warped clear plates and see if it works.

Thanks for the comparison. I have 3 Gemini’s already & now I know I don’t “need” the new one. I also have many of the other machines too!! I have 1 from the UK that heat foils. I taught card making for many yrs & did work for major stamp companies .

Hello Amy! 🤗 I don't think anyone who has the Original Gemini "needs" this one. I do really like the G2, but I really liked the OG as well. Like a work van, gets the job done, this is just the new body style! 😉 So what is the machine from the UK that foils? Just curious. I still don't have a glimmer or foil press. I feel like I would then have to spend sooo much on dies. I am sure I will cave in one day. So it sounds like you had quite the dream jobs, teaching card making and working with stamp companies. Wow! Good to see this. I was surprised with the last one how much the plates warped and marked but I saw an idea of putting the plastic plates into a bowl of very hot water with something heavy on top to counteract the warping and it does work to some extent. For some reason my Gemini Pro has stopped pulling the plates through even when empty of dies but I think I'll stick to my manual cutter for now. This seems a lot of money to spend again so soon. Thank you.

Hello! Oh no, I am guessing that the Pro is out of warranty. That is such a shame. I do the hot water hack to straighten plates as well. I am ready to do it again. I don't see why any of us NEED this new machine, unless you have no other or can't manage a manual machine. I just wanted it. Hello Tess! 🤗 I am sure you will be thrilled! It is just as good as the OG, and you must have been happy with that one to get another. The plates were a bit pricey. I ordered the Jr set of the new ones but they have not arrived yet. I have a few sets of backup plates (regular) so I should have waited for the CTV anniv to get them. I have no doubt these new ones will last just as long. I hope it arrives soon 🤞 🙂💕

What I need is more counter space for all my printers, scanners, and all kinds of machines...I bet the pro is amazing for all those scrapbook pages you do. Did you decide to get tue autoship kits even without the machine? I haven't even opened mine yet. This is giving me a reason to redo my crafty corner of the bedroom where my actual desk is though. Time for an IKEA trip, I think! 💕

Hello! 🤗 I do not have the I can tell you it is the same as the OG(original Gemini) . You said it, the size of the plates is a big difference. Well, that and it is huge and heavy! It operates the same in regards to playe combos for dies, embossing, fabric. . I will ask on CTV chat tomorrow if any of the other crafters who have it have any thoughts on that. Are you looking for any specific info? The pro plates are much more expensive but you can use the OG latest sideways in it. Of course there would be none of the new glide feet, USB,...that the G2 has either. If you scrapbook or quilt the pro is good, 💕

Hello! 🤗Both of the Gemini will cut and emboss like a dream! I have never had an issue with either, other than getting somewhat warped plates, but that will happen with almost every machine. Intricate dies are a breeze and that is a majority of what I have. The swivel? Love it! Once yiu get used to it ,it is hard to use a machine without it. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I am sure you will.have many, many yrs of happy crafting with your machine. 💕

That’s what I’m looking for a machine that will cut Intricate dies as I struggle with the machine I have, it’s getting really difficult to crank the handle now I’m not sure if it’s just me getting weaker lol If I were to get a spare set of plates for the Gemini 2 would you say get the same ones that go in the machine or I heard someone say that the other Gemini plates work in the Gemini 2 also. So would that be the Gemini Junior plates?

It seems as though they have put a lot of effort into this for very little gain. A few seconds faster, a bit quieter and the addition of usb charging ports and a swivel base aren't really enough to encourage most owners of the original Gemini to make the switch. No prices in the UK as of yet, so can't comment on if it's going to have any significant value, but highly unlikely. Will be sticking with my old Gemini

I ordered 4 of the old one's and they only were only 4,80 a piece. I also dont see the difference with the embossing cards. The new one would take more space on my desk because you have to open it. Turning around is not very handy for me and I dont have a tablet. Just a working desk with a computer on a desk besides me. But I can imagine that you are really happy with this. I had hoped to see no bowing at all after only a few passes. I never seem to use a tablet either. Thanks for the comparison tests. I'm glad there isn't much of a difference in how it cuts or embosses. I've had the OG and the Jr. when they first came out. I tend to use the Jr. more but now that I have the Marquise, I hardly use either Gemini machines unless I have a larger die. I still use my old Big Shot because I can get to it faster. LOL! I have a turning clip board on the Geminis and I do love the swivel to help take out the plates. I'm glad I didn't get the GII especially since I have no counter space in my room for another machine. I just bought the Joy (as a present from my Hubs) and it sits on my printer until I need it! LOL!!

Hello Pam! 🤗 I am definitely in need of more counter space, and not just for these machines. I told hubby I want a craft room like a kitchen, that would work for me 👍counters all around, narrow storage above, full storage underneath and an island with stools ro work at...Sara said same pressure on machines and she was correct. I use my OG and Marquis on a daily basis. Both are great! What do you use for all the 3d embossing? Big shot? I had started thinking about getting a big shot and then GII popped up! Maybe when I get that extra counter space...no such thing as too many machines!😂💕

@@4holidaysdesigns My Marquise always puckers my paper when using embossing folders so I use my Big Shot for embossing folders. Also if I want to emboss with some of the dies that have embossing element, I use my Big Shot for that too. It's just easy to use and I keep it on my floor. LOL! I know weird but I don't have anymore counter space!! I think the 3D embossing looks better with the Gemini Jr. I really don't use too many 3D embossing folders.

Such a fantastic video comparing the OG to the Gemini II, really well done! Since my OG is so very new, I am still so thrilled with it and stroking it lovingly like you did with yours at the end 🥰 I think no matter which machine you use, the plate will still bow because they are both very powerful. Nice to have the extra storage in the fold down flaps. Weird question, is there some sort of latch on the swivel mechanism to keep it straight if at times you wouldn't want it to swivel? Just curious. I can totally hear the happy smile in your voice in the video, so glad that you are really happy with it! Hope you are having loads of fun trying out different dies and folders with it! Hello there Mary! 🤗 I still love my OG 💕 And I (or you ) can easily put a lazy susan base under it (many have) . There is no latch to stop the swivel , other than all my clutter 😂 You saw my short on it, so you know what I mean! My OG is from when they first launched about 7 yrs ago and it is still.going strong! And I grabbed a couple of the original plates when they were on sale the other day. I will still use them, on either machine, as my primary until I run out. I am glad Sara even said you don't have a need for this if you have the OG. Thanks for taking time to watch the video 💕

Not all plates warp. I've had my original gemini since it launched 6/7 years ago? so I am well out of the warranty period and feel I got my moneys worth but for the last 2 years I've been using my old GC ( grand calibur) plates in my gemini and even purchased the junior set. It's the white and raspberry plates that fit no shims needed. It's cuts like butter and my plates are still totally flat and they have been going since the GC launched, so 10 years maybe. It is therefore possible to make plates that don't bend. So this puts me off buying the new machine as it would invalidated my warranty if I use my GC plates in the new machine so I'd have a whole year if flipping and turning with the new plates and they still warp!

Hello Dina! 🤗 The plates I used for my demos with the OG - The purple.plate has always been my top plate so it is 6/7 urs old. The bottom one and shim were new. I felt it only fair to use flat plates to co.pare the OG to the new G2. My old.plate is warped and very,very scuffed up but had it for ever. I use the boiling water method to freshen and straighten it up every so often. Now go pull that puppy out! It is so nice, pretty, quiet and quick. Since you have a Gemini Jr, you will be fine!👍🙂💕

I agree, I would have used the new ones too……I often do the same with a new plate, but sometimes I get to the point with foil paper that I don’t want to have the old plates show creases and I cut into the newer plate and from there it’s all down hill. 😂 pI need to be more disciplined with that new plate so it’ll last longer. 🤣I’ve never heard of the boiling water technique 🤔 I’ll have to look into it. Hi Dina! Happy Easter!🐣🐰🌷 I know what you mean about the foil paper. I now just use a piece of copy paper between it and the plate, works great! No more lines! Some people use the plastic notebook pockets, same thing, but won't always cut thru so multiple uses. I just stick to my cheap copy paper or the cheap 3 ring notebook paper. Give it a try, saves from buying new plates all the time . 👍😊💕

Jennifer, I bought the Gemini II and only ran two dies through it before I decided to send it back. The plates warped so bad I couldn't believe it. When I pulled down the sides the wires made such a twang, They sounded like they were going to break. The turn table does take up more room to spin around. If you have a small work area it probably isn't the best. I returned to HSN. It just wasn't the best deal for me. I'm happy with my original machine.

Hello Patricia! 🤗 What a disappointment that must be for you. I do know you are not the only one that has returned theirs. I definately think mine has a bit more pressure than my OG, but they all varied a bit. Some people I know have rarely needed a mag shim in their OG! 😱I like the spinning, but I have soooo much ,let's call it product, product on my desk, that it doe not swivel much 😂 I still have and love ❤️my OG, never giving it up. It is a pretty new toy! I have too many machines now so I resisted this one. I have heard that others have success by using the green plates that are meant for double sided dies to stop with warping. I’ve got turntables under the machines so the “cool” functionality of spinning is already addressed. I do like the ability to store tools and plates on top and like the lower noise…. @@4holidaysdesigns Hi Jennifer! Yes, I do like the raspberry color and all the upgrades. If they could have come out with plates that don’t bow, it would have been a home run. One thing that really addresses that is to use plates that are the size of the die. Sizzix has a 6” square plate and even smaller that work well. Now that the G2 has a full width pickup to engage the plates being offered into the machine, perhaps CC will produce smaller plates. We’ll see what’s next! Lol!

I got it though i used the plates that came with it to do my first test, i will leave those for multiple cuts ,for now i will use my gemini Jr plates. They work fine. Did i need the new machine No ,but i like the fact that it has the pull out storage piece to hold the plates as they come out.

Mine never warped like some peoples do either! I think people need to try minimal layers first rather than the recommended layers as that was too much for my machine, it just didn’t need it.

I glad to hear your's don't warp. I also flip and rotate my plates at every pass , but the Gemini Jr cutting plates just warp something awful! I have used them warped and they seem to cut ok, but it just looks like something is going to break when they go through.

I bought an Empress at Chridtmas and was SO disappointed that i could only fo AG embossing folders. I bought several lovely sets of 3D folders from Crafter's Companion and they would not work. I was sick to have to spend so much for another machine, but it eorks well! Absolutely stunning embossing! I might just frame some...no ink or anything. I am excited. I also bought the tiny hand crank Empress type... forgot the name, just a month ago for little die cuts because ut was supposed to stick to the table. Not to mine, it didn't, and it is hard to get the plates to grab. A real pain. I might check to see if i can return it. I won't ever use it again. I tried and tried.

Hi L K ! 👋 I just posted a video on how to use Anna' dies with bei.g able to emboss using the Gemini. I am so happy I can do it. I didn't want to have to buy an Empress just for AG product. Each machine always has something great and something that is just a miss, don't they? I will say that I love how easily the plates all go in,thru, and out. I wish I had a suggestion for you. Fantastic product review. I did not realize there was a new Gemini. I think the Gemini II sounds quieter & embossing results are deeper. Also, the cutting plates look sturdier & perhaps will not warp as much. Love the swivel feature. I know you can purchase a standalone swivel base for the Gemini I. You are such the enabler! I would love to take one for a test run, but I can’t justify buying one since my Gemini is fairly new. I have several die cutting machines already. TFS.

You can buy the plates and use them in the original machine they are supposed to be stronger than the old plates

I have an old manual die cutting machine. Have thought about upgrading for various reasons but can't bring myself to spend the $. 1 thing I didn't like was the speed the plates warped. I also am not a fan of the spinner on the bottom. I like my machine to be absolutely still so for me I'd need my machine to have some type of locking mechanism to keep it from moving at all.

Hello Jane! 🤗 I think a locking mechanism would have been a good idea. It really moves quickly, no resistance at all. NO need to buy, especially if you have the original Gemini. I was thinking I wouldn't see any warping after so few passes. But the, that is why I made the video. So we could all be I formed. Thanks for watching 💕

There are smaller plates (same size as the Junior) that you can use with this machine too, handy when cutting smaller dies as you don’t have to wait for the larger plates to exit the machine

Hi! Jennifer here, I saw the ? About the smaller plates. There are full size plates, 9x12, which are usually called "gemin8 " plates , or the smaller 6x9 plates, which are the Jr plates. There is , or was a Gemini Jr machine that was meant for the 6x9 format. You can used the old system "clear" cutting plates or the newer "white" plates in either size in the new Gemini 2. It makes it just a bit quicker when you have small dies to use but not at all necessary. You also can just put the plate with the small.die through until it cuts , then reverse it out to save time. If you get a chance ,fo on Crafter's Companion KZbin channel and search for Gemini 2 and yiu will sew tons of shows about it. Hope that helps a bit. ☺️

I don’t know why they don’t make the mats like the old Spellbinder grand Calibur. Those plates were great and never warped. They just want us to keep buying plates. I use my old cuttlebug bug plates in my Gemini Jr as well as other plates I can easily fit through the machine.

Flip the plates the are bowing, I’m still using my originals from years ago with my first Gemini. Also, use boiling water, put the plate flat in your sink, put something heavy on top of the plate and let it sit for about 20 minutes, bowed side up.

Thank you for this review. I already had the original Gemini and did buy the new one. I didn't need it, but couldn't resist the new features and the added swivel base. If you bought the Today special value, it was included, but if you purchase it later, you have to purchase it separately and install it yourself. Your video covered questions I had and didn't have the space to test both machines together! Besides the swivel base, I like the new fold-down trays best. So many times, I haven't moved quickly enough to catch the plates from falling to the floor or behind my storage unit. I think it is a lot more quiet than the older one.

My mother just handed down to me her original Gemini. She hardly used it, and it is in great shape. However, at that time, the 3-D embossing folders had not been invented yet. I have a ton of the Tim Holtz, 3-D embossing folders, and then a couple of other brands that are thinner than the Holtz 3-D. Can you recommend a sandwich for the Holtz 3-D embossing folders? Thanks!

I feel often it’s because people make too thick a sandwich. I had to use a minimal sandwich on my Gemini and it cut beautifully and I only ever bought one plate replacement! I rotated if I remembered however wasn’t obsessive about it but they were a bit bent, scratched like crazy and always still cut well. The recommended layers in the manual were too much for my machine and I’d always suggest trying less first. The more that goes through and the tighter it is the more they will warp. Mine do the in my manual machine but again that seems to be when there is more pressure such as embossing folders.

Oh I forgot to mention with my full size Gemini plates, I try to avoid repeatedly cutting smack dab in the middle of the plates. That warps faster than anything. With the Jr, we don't have much of an option there isn't much room. But I've had my Gemini since 2018 and still have the same plates & shims. going on 5 years, they do have a warp in the middle now. I'm sure purposely cutting on one end or the other, flipping plates around, alternating top & bottom plates & using the least pressure needed has enabled them to last that long. My machine has great pressure. I hardly ever have to run things a 2nd time for embossing details 😂

​@@4holidaysdesigns ok so I was watching Mayra's G2 video. She mentioned she uses Jennifer McGuire's taped sandwich which triggered my memory that Jennifer has a new sandwich. If you're interested the video is called "Fixing & Avoiding Warped Die Cutting Plates" About 13 minutes in, she shows her latest. She ditches the magnetic & plastic shims. She tapes "double sided die" plates to each clear cutting plate. She does Not cut on the clear cutting plate side, only the double sided die plate side. This has not warped on her. It's funny, I bought those plates just for that reason and forgot until I saw her video 😂. She did mention every once in a while she needs a cardstock shim depending on the die. A subbie commented she uses a laminated sheet as a shim. (run through the laminator to seal it empty). It can be trimmed to any size and it doesn't flatten like a paper shim does. Normally I'm a tools junkie, but for some reason I have no interest in this. I'm kind of surprised. I actually don't like the pull down sides, I like just sending it through without "opening it" and I don't even want all that storage. It seems like she took features of other products & added them as opposed to anything new or innovative. The one thing I do like is that it's quiet. Huh I can't believe people are disappointed. Sara didn't say they don't warp. There's no die cutting machine with plates that don't warp. The big shot plates warp, the Switch plates warp, the Empress plates warp and with my Empress there isn't enough pressure. I have to shim every due differently with extra paper & run it thru at least twice. Then I have to clean out the paper. At least the Gemini & Switch the waste paper pretty much falls out instantly 😃 I didn't buy this new one bcuz I have enough machines. I'm really glad you did this comparison video. The new machine looks really nice and sounds great! Oh Jennifer McGuire significantly slowed warping in the Gemini by switching out the magnetic shim & milky shim and always using the double sided plates with the clear plates. It's funny, I originally bought the double sided plates to do that but never got around to trying it. Many months later, I saw her video. So now I know it works 😂

Hi Marilyn! Yes, it does! Just like the original, clear plate, folder with paper, mag shim, plastic shim. In the video I do a 2d and a 3d . The 3D is the folder with the large flowers in it. Came out fantastic and that was with 300gsm paper! Thanks for watching 💕

Hello! 🤗 I will try my best to clarify, sometimes I ramble and can see how a person would get confused. 🙂 I used the new plates in the new G2, and a new set of the old style plates in my OG (the Original Gemini ) I did the same amount of cuts through each to show what you can expect with the plate combo that is recommended by CC. And there is a slight warp, that was using both cutting plates, the shim and the magneticat. That said, I woumagnetically. That after playing with the G2 a while, I would try your cuts without the magnetic mat. I thunk this machine has a bit more pressure than my OG so I have found simple dies cut without that ,no problem. I have even used some scrap paper as a shim if I just need a bit of pressure. The only ti.e I have been using theagnetic mat is when I do intricate dies, which I do a lot of I am still using my old plates as well as my new ones. They are all the same for me. Do keep a top plate that you don't cut into,and still flip and rotate all of them. Fell free to ask any questions, especially as I may have just co fused you more! 💕

Hello Jean! 🤗 I do have a hack or workaround for them. I am making that video right now and will post in about 2 hrs or so. Basically, it has to do with the plate combo, the paper weight,and the weight of shim- cutting plate, sizzex folder with a medium weight paper, say 80lb or 215 gsm then I use a card stock shim (300gsm)then the metal plate. Hope that helps, I will show you in the vid and I have a hack to emboss AnnaGriffin dies too!

Hi Jackie! 🤗 You can't go wrong with either and both will last a good long time. If $is not an issue, I would go for the new one. I like the the swivel and it is flat on top, I toss my plates there, no tablet for me. But if at all aware of costs, I say get the original. You can find it on sale if not right now , then soon for about $150 US. Also, I would buy the original plates if on sale, work just as well, they all will bend a bit. Right now there is no use for the USB ports other than to charge your phone or tablet, but who knows what gadgets Sara has up her sleeve. I think they may be used for something in the future. And I guarantee that your Gemini will not give out for many,many users. Either of them!

Hi Martha! 👋 LeAnn (from CC) said on a FB post that you definitely do not want to drill I to the new Gemini 2 if you try and attach any swivel that wasn't meant for it. I guess it already has 4 predrilled holes, and the swivel is attached at factory. So I am thinking don't drill into the original either. A lot of people have put them on the lazy suzan (most got from Amazon) .I think any swivel device that you can set it on would work. Hope that helps! And Thank you for taking the time to watch 💕

Hi Samantha! 👋 Both these machines cut out from thin metal dies. There is no design space like with the cricut. You would need a cricut , a silhouette, a brother scan n cut...something that uses svgs and an app or your computer. Is that the info you need? Hello Pat! 🤗 Yes , they will still warp. I don't thinknitnis happening as quickly though. Which is good. And you can still use the old style plates in it with no problem at all. The I itial.plates set on HSN with the bag to hold them was about $70, so not cheap. I do find that I can get away with using cardstock shim(usually 1or2 pieces ) and not need the magnetic shim on the new machine so that also makes the plates last longer. Everything has a bit different pressure so you need to play around with it. Hope that helps with whatever you decide. And this was a want , definitely not a need. It works exactly the same ,just a couple secs quicker and slightly quieter. 👍💕

Gemini II purchased. Plastic plates so warped that I don't want to spend $15 every week. I tried returning it to Joann Fabrics but they told me that Joann Fabrics store policy is contact the manufacturer and they won't take it back. Manufacturer is from U.K. and they DON'T have 800 number working. I followed the instructions carefully and still plates curved that it won't go in to feed it through. So yes, buyer beware.

Hello! 👋 Oh my, that is not good. It sounds like your machine has extra pressure. They all vary a bit. If you do decide to get another set of plates (or perhaps they give them to you) ,do not use the magnetic shim. Ise just the 2 cut plates and the plastic shim, add a sheet of cardstock if needed. You can try contacting the CC customer service via email or the UK phone #. Email is [e-mail] Or the UK phone # [phone] They also have a chat feature on the site but only during daytim(UK time) hours but they always get back to me the next day. I hope that helps. If all else fails, you can try a magic mat (scrapbook.com ) works well to slow any warp,.or try AMAZON ,they have the knockoffs but they work well. You can even get the green double sided one, and cheaper and quicker. 💕

I'm kinda obsessed with purple, so I'm super disappointed that Sara abandoned her signature color. I had a full size Gemini when they first came on the US market, had to sell it, then when things got better I bought the Gemini Jr. I do have a couple dies that won't fit in the Jr. I've thought about either a full size Gemini or empress, have seen too much negative about the switch. I do love the tool storage & the kickstand on top, but limited space cost, no purple, I think I might just get rid of the couple dies that don't fit, & keep my ancient big shot for the few bigz xl dies that I love.

Hi there, Debadoo! 👋 I am sorry but don't know the answer because I don't have those dies. I can tell you it is the exact same size plates as the original Gemini that you had. Which is 9x12.5 inches. I love both my machines. Maybe you should get the Original Gemini? They were on sale about a month ago for $150 on CC site. And I bet you are about to see a ton of people sell theirs now that they have bought the new one. Mine is about 7 yrs old and still.going strong 💪 I.do know you cannot do the steel rule dies in this. I think I would just keep what I have for now. Like you I would love a laser printer, hubby wont let me have his from office and I already have a large format printer for pics (huge,prints up to 14in) and a regular printer. The only ones I have had issues with before(on the original) were the Sizzix 3d impressions ones. I did eventually.make them work, I can't remember the plate combo, maybe cutting, folder and just shim? I can check for you if you have any ones in mind. 💕

Hi there! 👋 I am in the US. I got my Gemini II from HSN. They were just released from Crafters Companion. The original Gemini is still for sale at Crafter's Companion website and probably other sites as well. Both are awesome machines. You also can use the old or new plates in either machine.The new G2 will be coming to QVC in May.or June for the UK and soon afterwards it will be released on Crafters companions own website. If you are happy with the original.gemini instead of the new one, you should keep your eyes peeled as they have been having g good sales on them. I probably sound like an ad for them! Plus I don’t want a machine that moves around. The new Gemini is about to be released here in Australia. I thought you are supposed to rotate your plates with each use - at least according to Leeann you are - I have the Empress and even though I rotate my plates they do eventually warp - I heard Michelle McCarthy on CTV say she lays hers in boiling water and you can see them unwarp

Hello Marlene! 🤗 Ues, you should flip, rotate, both plates and the shim as well. Wach and every time. I have lettered my plate corners (a to d) so I remember where I am at in the flipping.that comes from Craig Laird. Also, I have taken to as soon as I finish the pass, I flip and then set them down. Whatever works for you. I t is never 100%, but it does extend the plates. I like the Jennifer McGuire method of straightening the plates with hot water. It also helps get rid of the deep cuts. Hi Allie! 👋 I just ran thru the Jr plates both sideways, and straight thru. My plates arr a bit warped, but still.worked. I did have to push abit (like I do with the OG).when putting in sideways. Once it grabbed it was fine. I hope that helps. I generally use my Jr plates, very seldom do I ha e a die that I need the bigger plates, or have my large plate filled up. I Am just not that organized!

If you have new JR plates and dont want to ruin them you may want to add a dollar tree green cutting mat on top of your cutting mat. It cuts dies really well and does not ruin you cutting plates. 😉

Hello Alexsandrina ! 🤗 This seems to have been a really well-kept secret. I , for one, didn't see even a hint or rumor about it anywhere! I just bought one about 2 months ago for a friend who had always wanted one. I hope you got a good deal on it at least. And, you know they function almost identically. Maybe grab a lazy Susan like so many people have to get that feature? I know it won't be the same but the Original is still a fantastic machine. 💕

Hi there Hilary! 🤗 Agreed, but it is what I expected. Powerfulachine. I did try cutting without even the magnetic mat (less pressure means less warping) and it worked on simple die shapes, just not the intricate ones which is why I used them . Any machine can cut a simple nesting die. I will keep using the new and old.plates and see how they do over a few weeks. Hopefully better! Thanks for taking the time to watch 💕

Hello Kathy! 🤗 I was a bit surprised as well. I am glad you could tell from the video. I am never quite sure how well some things show up. I will keep using both new sets, and flipping, rotating, and see how they look after a week or 2. When Sara didnt say anything about them not warping, I had a feeling it would still occur. I am now wondering if you can flatten these with the boiling hot water like the old ones, since they are made of different materials? I guess we will eventually find out ! It's a nice machine but I have every one so I'm not going to buy into this machine just because of its shape and somewhere to put your tablet

Hi Stevie! 👋 If you have the others, you definitely don't NEED this one. I can safely say this is an I just WANT it purchase 😁 That is why I thought people should see them side by side and probably why CC or HSN did not show it. But I will say, I liked that Sara Davies did admit if you had the other ,you didn't need it just for a media tray and a couple seconds quicker. Hello! 🤗 Yes it does. CC experts on CTV, have stated that you no longer need the extender or a gemini with the G2. If you are interested in a G2, look at the CC site. They have been having a lot of sales and % off deals on it. Hope that helps ☺️💕
