RØDE sent us this product to test out, but they did not pay us to make this video. 🛎 Learn more about the RØDE Wireless Micro - bit.ly/3Z1owWl

I'll consider this set. Will you be testing the new Sennheiser Profile Wireless?

Nice! I can't keep up with all of these mics coming out! LOL!
@Ozpeter11 күн бұрын
I didn't hear you mention that this is a stereo device, unlike the comparable Hollyland device. That for me is its chief advantage. Having 2 mics mixed to mono without the choice is a no-no.

I shall wait for DJi Mic Mini to come out to decide to get the DJI or Hollyland Lark M2 or This Rode mini mic

Sounds good, but for the price I think I´ll better buy the Hollyland Lark M2 which are smaller and have noise cancelation.

Does it work seamlessly with the native iPhone video app? Thank you.
@Gemini_Connect6 күн бұрын
It does. However, I prefer using it with the BlackMagic camera app so I can see my audio levels.

When you test out the DJI Mic Mini for the november 26 launch, could you try out the Mic Mini transmitter with the Mic 2 receiver?

Sounds really good. How about comparing with other micro types: Hollyland Lark M2 & Godox Cube (& DJI mini when it comes out)?

Do you need a different Rode mobile app or is it the same one? Also, what difference compared to the Rode wireless pro?

I’m sure Rode’s newest entry sounds better and has easier to use of making sure audio is blown out. Even though Rode is a great brand, and the latest audio advancements and the Rode apps, I think I am still going to get the Hollyland Lark M2’s full camera combo kit. It’s a bit cheaper, all three receivers have usb-c options for either for charging or for multiple usb-c ports (like the camera has analog and usb-c options), and the small size of the transmitters are such a fantastic size.

I'm assuming this would also work with the ace pro 2, and similar cameras that connect wireless lavs via usb-C.
@Gemini_Connect13 күн бұрын
Yup! We did a test connecting to the DJI Action 5 and Insta360 Ace Pro 2 in this video - check the timestamps for the exact part of the video.

Picturs of the new DJI Micro Mic has already been leaked, so competition will be heavy. Can the Røde Mini transmitters connect directly to the smart phone bluetooth?
@Gemini_Connect13 күн бұрын
This Rode mic is not Bluetooth - I don’t think any of the Rode Wireless Mics are.
@xen0_m0rph13 күн бұрын
No passthrough charging? We need it for using wireless mics during very long live streams from a phone. None of the higher-end brand mics seem to include this for some reason. Many cheaper ones do.
@matthews415913 күн бұрын
They say 21 hours of charged battery life,,, so I doubt you need pass through charging?

Does it work with android phones?
@GrenlandUnderVann13 күн бұрын
With the reciever for sure, what you want is a bluetooth connection directly to the phone from the transmitter like DJI Mic 2 does....
@Gemini_Connect13 күн бұрын
Yes, it can work with Android or iPhones. I agree that not having Bluetooth connectivity is a bummer, but that can degrade audio quality. And honestly, this Rode receiver is so small that it’s barely noticeable when attached to the phone.

Not available in Canada yet.....

It should be available soon - they’re often a bit slower to release in different regions.

@@Gemini_Connect Thanks for your reply. I enjoy your content. It;s nice for rode to produce a smaller option. I think it was silly to keep the same massive form factor for many yrs. Sad this one is striped down, but they are listening..... a bit

I ain't going to lie ...the Ulanzi A30 kit is specd pretty much the same and is $100 cheaper. Comes with black and white face plates, wind socks and more. I was following this rode kit and that ulanzi kit is literally the exact same in functionality. Has great 16bit audio. Differences are the ulanzi kit last about 5hrs, no pass through charging. The case charges the two mics and receiver 3 full times. It's a nice kit for the price. Also has two very strong magnets and comes with everything you need to connect to ANY action or regular camera. I have a video coming out this Friday on it. It's pretty dope and plugs into the Osmo cameras and the AcePro 2 directly into the usb-c port like this rode kit does.
