Fun fact: India and Sri Lanka are the countries who make the most pure gemstones and semi gemstones In the world.. The Golconda mine is famous because the Kohinoor diamond the Dresden green and many more world famous diamonds were found in these mine. It’s really sad seeing these magnificent piece of jewellery getting stolen from India

Wasn't taaffeite discovered in Sri Lanka? It held the record for rarest gemstone for some time, but now kyawthuite (from Burma) is the current record holder.

I am indian and I follow Hinduism (althought I believe in every religion) I never heard the story you told about demon vala and one thing I want to clarify is that Hinduism respect not just cow, we respect every animal and we also respect various trees also that's why india is the world largest vegetarian population. Let me tell one interesting fact. We also believe that plants also have feelings so in ayurveda when any medicine is made using a particular plant. The vaid(ayurveda doctor) request and pray to that plant one day before that he wish to make a medicine and please bless us and then he makes medicine otherwise medicine will not work. Lastly, don't judge me of hardcore hindu. I have learnt so many things from other religions also and I strongly believe in every religion.

I don't think she was disrespectful at all. There are many stories about many things. I don't pretend to know everything about my own country (Brazil) and its stories and traditions. It's a good thing you learned something you didn't know. We all learn from sharing, there's no disrespect in that.

The nephrite jade of the Tibetan Plateau is my favourite. 99% of the gem quality jade that chinese masters use is now sourced at the Chinese/Indian Border.

Whoa, India has very prized gemstones 💎and their meanings.🌍My favorite is the padparadscha cause of its color.😊💖🌺 Very interesting, I like to know more gems from other countries.🤔🌐

you can get minerals like serandite or vayrynenite for MUCH cheaper than a padparadscha with the same color and clarity, though serandites are not as transparent as a pad and vayrynenites tend to be more heavily included by nature. most high quality vayrynenites get snatched by collectors because the gem is highly desired and very pretty.

I don't know what is tricky about returning the (Kohinoor) diamond to India, even though the dynasties don't exist anymore, the British can simply return all the stolen gemstones to the Indian government and they can place it in the museum (Indian Museum).

Galaxy 3000 it’s real insofar as it’s the same chemical compound and the same crystal structure. Chemically, it’s indistinguishable from a pad that came out of the ground, it just came from a lab instead :)
