It’s incredible how Ho-oh started as one of the worst legendaries in Ubers in GSC, but evolved through the generations, to find itself as one of the most relevant nowadays. Ps: nowadays, Ho-oh is A+ in the Gen 9 Ubers VR, and was very close to being S Rank

It sounds awkward but in a way stealth rocks help Ho-Oh. There aren't many 4x weak mons, meaning a lot of teams just forego actual Ho-Oh Coverage. If you can then keep hazards off fairly reliably it's a real stinker to face

Mostly because Ho oh had 0 flying moves and Fire was a special type so Sacred Fire wasn't as helpful, but it all changed in Gen 4 with the split and Brave Bird, then Gen 5 came out with a cracked ass ability in Regenerator.

Really don't think Kyurem will stay in OU. It's already tough to break, imagine what snow defense boost + Aurora Veil is going to do to it (hint: Ninetails-A can survive STAB Iron Heads). Like this thing will always be behind a sub or with 3 Dragon Dances under the belt, then tera to a good defensive or offensive type and mess things up

Kyurem will lose Roost, unless it comes back as a TM in the DLC. Kyurem had access to Roost via TM in gen 7, so it's a transfer move. So just like Gliscor, who also lost roost. Without recovery, I think Kyurem will be less annoying and should be fine to start in OU. Could eventually get banned with just the specs set but only time will tell.

Both kyurem and zekrom get dragon dance, I feel like kyurem with its 130 base atk could become similar to baxcalibur with a loaded dice set. Zekrom was also one of the most scary sweepers in gen 8 Ubers so it definitely could make a comeback. (at the very least its not dropping to UUbers)

Latias as a Calm Mind sweeper was one of my standbye favorite mons in Gen 8 OU, alongside Corvioknight and Gliscor for a core of bulky pokemon with roost and stat boosting moves. I just used normal attacking moves- I think Psychic and Aura Sphere, but it might've been Dragon Pulse instead of Psychic, rather than Stored Power to force reliance on Calm Mind. It was important to sometimes just be able to hit them without a boost, if you needed to apply pressure.

Lunala may be the mon that benefits most from terastalization. Turning multiple 4x weaknesses to some of the most common offensive types in the game with dark and ghost into neutralities or resistances while changing your type to an amazing defensive type like fairy, water, or steel

I have used ho-oh quite a bit in natdex ubers, usually tera grass, for some reason that just seems to work. You dont even need tera every game but having that in your back pocket as ho-oh is incredible. Fire/flying is actually quite good if your opponent is not using stealth rock and rock types, and rock types are actually pretty rare in ubers. Edit: after verifying I can confirm that the only rock type in natdex ubers, is arceus rock, wich in my experience is extremely rare to see.

I think Solgaleo will probably keep teleport. Most pokemon lost it because it was a gen 1 TM and you can no longer transfer those moves, but teleport is one of very few moves that Cosmog/Cosmoem learn naturally

Good vid Jimothy, some mons that you forgot to talk about were Necrozma Dusk Mane and Necrozma Dawn Wings. Dusk Mane was a Top 3 mon in usage last generation and I’m sure that it will have another successful generation. Dawn Wings I’m not as sure about in the Ubers format, but it has always found some levels of success in restricted formats of VGC. Even base Necrozma can find some success in the RU tier, where I’m predicting it to end up.

I see potential in Entei this time around, maybe not OU, but UU or RU. The thing that makes Dragonite so good possibly applying to Entei as well, Terra-Normal Extreme Speed. Give it a Choice Band, combine it with Flare Blitz (the shiny event Entei), and it could hit quite hard. Plus Terra Blast could be used for coverage if using a different Terra-Type to punish possible counters, Water for rock and ground types, Grass for those and Water types. It could have some potential with this gen's new gimmick.

Even if they aren’t good enough to cut it in Ubers - we’ve got Ubers UU now for them to find a place as more defensive pieces in the meta game (Tera Ground/Water Ho-Ho and Lugia) Also - with the power level we have now, Pressure stall is optimistic.

The set I MIGHT run is Sacred fire Thunder wave Toxic Earthquake/roost/revival blessing if it gets it. RB is the most likely for me to use followed by earthquake but I had to mention the former after roost as it isn't confirmed. In all seriousness I might just use dusk mane as it has stealth rocks or terapagos as it will probably be ultra broken. You are sorta underselling zekrom as it has the potential to be more threatening after set up, although the competition between it is sort of an uphill battle. It is ranked b+ in nat dex ubers but that could just be because miraidon is banned but I heard rayquaza is decent. New addition hone claws can help with scale shot and bolt strike accuracy as long as you can set up efficiently.

1:57 The fact that even with Tera, Entei is probably gonna be weak as hell again is just so damn unfortunate. Like, I think it could see some proper use since that mono fire typing is what has held it back before but it’s just sad that 115 ATK/SPE is par for the course in Gen 9.

Tera Ground ftw, You won't getting rocks with it. I love using Tera Ground Ho-oh in Nat Dex Ubers. Very bulky dude

Ground and Fairy for sure. The thing is, Fire / Flying is already excellent when paired with a Sun setter because you have no "Special type weakness" besides Electric. If you manage to keep your Boots you will never lose Ho-Oh

Tera Grass if you want a safety net vs non-Taunt Physical Arceus-Ground, Groudon, and Kyogre. Tera Fairy if you want an emergency answer vs SD Scale Shot Koraidon. Tera Ground if you want to play mind games with cocky Miraidon/Zekrom, works well with Earthquake too.

Kyurem black is going to be nightmarish with loaded dice. Forget it having an unreliable ice stab, its about to be able to consistently hit base 100 power ice type moves, and tera electric tera blast will make it an actual problem

O actually think Zekrom can be cool alongside Miraidon. Mirai invites in special walls that Zekrom can abuse to set up. Zekrom also has Scale Shot and Hone Claws, which will boost its accuracy and guarantee Scale Shot and Bolt Strike to hit, and let me tell you, no one is interested on eating a +1 Terrain Boosted Bolt Strike. Yeah ground types are immune, but then u give Zekrom the chance to go for a likely Loaded Dice Scale Shot with perfect accuracy
