Finale was very good. We got a lot of action and multiple powers used. Great cameos too. I don’t know how Cate went from sobbing at Shetty’s house last ep to leading to the slaughter of dozens of humans, but maybe we’ll see in S2 that the meds were a major factor keeping her mind in tact.

The scary thing is that, the more they show us how powerful Marie can be, that means the more powerful Victoria already is as well. I also love how Cate and Sam caused all of this because of their hatred towards the school and Vought, just to ended up kinda on the side of Vought anyways.

Homelander siding with and endorsing Cate and Sam as the heroes didn’t suprise me one bit, but the fact that we’re gonna see them working together in The Boys s4 has me hype like everyone should be afraid. That’s a very scary, very dangerous group.

@@stunnaboylivin Cate’s full potential is still unknown lol she may not even need to touch someone to control them, plus she still has one full arm left to push people (accompanied with her mind reading powers) so I’d say she’s still a pretty powerful threat. Vought will also probably end up finding a way to heal/grow her arm back or give her a bionic arm which could make her physically stronger. Don’t count her out yet.

I think Homelander sympathized with Sam because he was experienced and with Cate for freeing Supes. Another similar among them is the hatred of humans. It's possible he saw similarities between Marie and Victoria Neuman's powers.

Marie not exploding from the heat vision must have something to do with her control over her blood and internal organs. Because she has not shown to be any more durable than the average supe, hence she cuts herself with a regular knife and was being hurt by Maverick.

I mean, Marie, Jordan and Andre were in plain sight in the middle of the havok but Emma was alone, in a dark empty classroom and she was in her tiny form...the perfect conditions for her to hide from anyone who wanted to get her, escape and try to help her friends from outside; even the show can use that as a plot to make her the hero she wants to be in the next season...

Marie seemingly took the blast without being damaged, it just incapacitated her. Stormfront was in pain when she exposed to his beams, and it caused serious burns. Marie is more powerful than Stormfront, seemingly.

In the boys universe all sups have super strength and durability to varying degrees. Black Noir could rip people apart like Sam can but had to use weapons on Kamiko and the terrorist guy. He also had to choke Starlight. This just shows what I have been saying. As strong as Sam is he's nowhere near as strong as characters like Maeve, Homelander and Soldier boy.

I think the episode was great,but felt rushed.Sam turned on Emma too easily. Emma should have got her own hero moment. I would have liked to see Jordan attack Homelander. Kate's turn makes sense but we should have got more of her and the dean. There should have been a reveal that pushed her over the edge.She also needs a costume.

​@@EliTheMac - I don't think Sam let Cate wipe his memories. Sam let Cate clear his mind so he wasn't distracted by the voices in his head. Sam learned to trust Cate again because he realized Cate was only doing those things to him because she was told to by non-supes. Once they both went "pro-supe" as a form of revenge and rebellion, I think they started to trust each other more and he trusted her to look out for him since they wanted the same outcome. I think the end of season 1 was a fantastic conclusion and set up for the future of the series.

@@Arri7979 i agree with everything you said except the ending being perfect. that’s what i meant, though. by “wipe his slate”, i didn’t mean wipe his memory. i meant wipe his moral compass and character. my fault for being unclear. anyway, my main complaint is the ending was rushed, it didn’t make a LOT of sense, and there was really goofy power scaling stuff like Andre landing a punch on Sam and doing anything, Marie hitting Maverick who has diamond hard skin with an object and bruising him, and just the whole thing in general felt rushed and silly.

@@EliTheMac - To be fair, Sam's moral compass was always skewed and never fully in line with the other supes we follow in the show. He was being experimented on and forced to power his brother while he was supposed to be dead and gone. He's had time to harbor this resentment and I only think Cate helped him do something he's wanted to do for a long time. Now, I never said the ending was perfect. I said it was a good segway into a second season and tied up certain storylines in the first. Obviously, this eight episode season is not going to be as fleshed out and the last episode had a lot going on. To go back to your power scaling comment, we've seen Andre landing punches on more powerful supes, like Sam's brother (which we now know is not as powerful as Sam, but more controlled at least). Sam can be taken off guard, any supe can, which is how other people land punches to begin with. Marie hitting Maverick just shows her powers are getting stronger and if Maverick is like his Dad, then she probably hit an entryway that can actually hurt him. I'm not trying to defend this show to my grave, it has its faults, but the last episode was very well thought out compared to other shows of this caliber.

Sam maybe heading down a Homelander's path, but I still get the feeling he's more Black Noir/Kimiko. That emotional block is sure screw him over eventually. Since Noir is dead, I feel best the candidate to help Sam with this is Kimiko. Sam honestly has more similarities to her than Homelander.

I read some people think when Ema loses bodily fluids she shrinks? Cause when she shrunk she was crying but it wasn’t that much liquid. What happens when she pees? Or has her period. Seemed she had to puke big volumes to shrink before. So I’m unsure if it’s the cause or the mask covering up the true nature of her powers?

A thing that might get overlooked in the rest of the more major things that happened in this episode is what happened before the end of the episode before Homelander showed up. Marie used her powers when Cate was about to take a hold of Jordan to blow off her hand. So she can basically has the same ability as Victoria Newman to explode whatever body part she has in site. That makes her so much more dangerous and powerful now. I had a feeling she was gonna be able to do that after their interaction. @BrainPilot I felt it was a short episode too but it definitely was good! I can always do with more Boys/Gen V, I love the idea of what it would probably be like if super powers actually existed, it's grounded for a "super hero" show.

Let me start by saying i wasnt really expecting to like this show. And that had to do with the information/advertising. However idk if it was on purpose or a happy accident but them underselling what the show would be about made my mind blown by it. Youre right, its as good as the boys but in a different way. Which is a huge plus. In the boys theyve very much painted the picture that very few heroes are truly heroes and even less of them care. Even our happy rebels are admittedly bad people, theyre just the bad people you send after other bad people. However the GG in this show for the most part try to be good. They want to be heroes while still having their own lives. Theyre not completely selfless but their not bad either. Its a breath of fresh air in that sense. The tie in with the boys has been great throughout. Finding out that basically the secret school of horrors is mainly due to homelander. Trying to find supes that could be on his level, trying to appease vought, homelander's actions with the plan which in turn led to another regular human that much like Butcher wants to see all supes dead but primarily homelander. And now homelander has a impressionable young army at his disposal while he becomes more and more unhinged. Also with Sam and Cate at his side we could start to see a flat out villian team similar to the Legion of Doom. So much potential built off this show and now its as important viewing to me as the boys.

I think they might be apart of the new seven remember it's only homelander, a train , and deep currently so with them 4 makes seven and Ashley might put them in there because they saved them. On top of andre getting the new polarity suit, and ashley said if she got saved that marie was gonna getvin the seven. My predictions.

Nah. The reason why Cate and Sam were praised as the heroes on the news, and the others were painted as villains was because taht was how Homelander wanted. Ashley might want to put Marie or Andre in the Seven but Homelander won't let that happen.

It can be powerful enough to cut through planes like butter and he can turn it down low enough that all it does is warm milk.

Jeff is too hardcore competent in that scene - reminds me of Stanley Edgar. I think he is more likely to work for him, not the current Voight. It would be a surprise and a fourth faction arising in the show. When he says 'my cover is blown' I think he is referring to his cover being blown from Ashley/Homelaner Voight (since he is revealing anti-Supe tech Ashley probably does not know about).

I'm only typing this in the hopes that studio execs read these things... Yeah, one helluva show. Great actors, great story, crossing with Boys is perfect... Just a yes from this fantasy / scifi fan. Won't bother with my theories here.... But - great show. Oh - one theory I will share.... that virus that kills supes....? Wonder how hard that would be to reverse engineer? So... only Supes?
