I feel you man. The reason the centuries are off by 1 is that the first century was 1-99. If you were born in the 19th century, 0-99 would be the 0th century and that don't work.

When I was a kid I was staring at one of those Chinese restaurant zodiac placemats trying to figure out which sign everybody at the table was. "Dad, you were born before 1900, right?" I asked. So, anyway, when people describe my college life as having taken place in "the late 1900s" I feel like I deserve it. 😅

I'm proud of being from the 1900s or the 20th century. When asked my birthday I say the month, day and 2 digits for the year. There's no "2054" yet.
