8:16 Whatever that is is *not* what 'Marvin's Magic Coloring Board' was. It wasn't a scratch off paper, it was essentially a cling film that 'drew' from pressure. It made it reusable, not permanent like this. (also that isn't a pen, it's just a piece of plastic to make solid lines easier) It was neat, but kinda jank.

That was not the Marvin's Magic Coloring Board. My little sister had it and it was basically a board with a thin layer of some thick goo over it. You used the piece of plastic to 'draw' but all you were doing was moving the goo out of the way to show the color underneath. And you would smooth it out to cover it up again. What they show in this video is scratch art boards, you can get them for cheap at the art stores now.

Marvin’s Magic Coloring Board wasn’t a scratch off board, it was a plastic covered board with a rainbow underneath, kind of like a Magnadoodle or an Etch-A-Sketch where you can clear the board and draw something else.

Yeah, that "magic board" they tried wasn't the right thing. The real one was like a layer of black gel under plastic with a colorful board below the black get. You would shift the gel with the little plastic tool to reveal colors. Then "erase" it by moving the black gel back over the colorful areas. That thing they tried was just a black scratch off board. Can't reuse those.

I had the blo pens 🖊 and the plastic balloon 🎈 thing.
