It was only decades later that I realized how important Gene Clark's contributions were to the Byrds. What a great voice.

This genius of an artist could've carried The Byrds right through Notorious Byrd Bros and way beyond, to where birds fly the highest. And spared them the appalling part of their legacy when they stooped lowest, succeeding in sounding like a Ten Years After cover band playing suburban hotspots. The single greatest musical tragedy in my rock and roll lifetime.

Not the first artist too brilliant for his time and place, and sadly as always, not the last.

This song is fantastic, creating mental images like those of the great poets. I played this song for my cousin. His verdict! A horrible voice, but great guitar work! Wotta fool this mortal cousin is. I disconnected from him after that. If he didn't sense the beauty of the lyrics in this song, and considered GC's voice terrible that only proved what a fool he can be. No one is more blind than those who refuse to see. In his case he's both deaf and blind so to speak, if you get my drift. RIP, Gene Clark! ♐

Woe if we were all to disconnect with people simply because they don't see the greatness of an artist. It's all subjective. Reconnect! Now.

I would like her far easier than the current age of tatoos and piercing. She just has that femine quality that seems to be missing nowadays. Dude just splurge for a razor if it bothers you.
