You've hit the nail on the head. The second an offer comes through for enough money, they will be back on stage. Mad respect for you, having the balls to voice your opinion on the matter. It's so bizarre that people think a fan can't or shouldn't speak critically about the band. I agree with you 100% when it comes to fans that trash on Ace and Peter, but don't dare speak ill of Paul. We saw just recently that Peter is certainly still capable of drumming when he wants to, and as for Ace, not only can he still play, he still records. No phoney bologna excuse about how there's no point in making albums because nobody buys them anymore. Music still sells, you just need to write songs people enjoy enough to want to purchase them.

The only KISS 2.0 is that band MR SPEED because they are dead ringers for what KISS used to be...I saw them on KZbin and it blew my mind and they do it without tapes...Their Paul looks exactly like(and sounds like Paul used to sound),There Gene looks just like Gene and their Ace moves exactly like Ace used to move and play.

You never know. I think if they did do a KISS 2.0 live act It'll be Vegas thing, covering classic tunes. Same thing with the avatar show they are doing. To me It's not moving forward trying to recapture the past. Ace like him or not is the only member outside Bruce which is trying to move forward with his music. He still has the Space Ace persona but he is moving forward with it naturally. If KISS 2.0 did new music and created new costumes in the vein Lordi or something like the show faceoff where it took the Demon, Starchild, Spaceman and Catman, to a different direction. But finding musicians who fit the personalities and having similar interests to Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter. Male or Female, To me it's not about the copy and paste of the image, the Demon bass players should have the same love for horror, Starchild should be a showman ring master, Space Man should love space and scifi, Catman should have that primal energy. Trust me you can find people that fit them where nothing feels fake or so repeated. Where this isn't a cover band, This is a new KISS. It's taking a blueprint and building something new. Do classic tunes, but do 3 albums representing the new members, In a garage rock style. Because the KISS we grew up on lives in our memories, no one can copy. And heck maybe my idea falls flat but the Avatars and a KISS 2.0 cover band may not do well either. I do think it can move on without Paul and Gene, but do a total reboot of the idea for tomorrow's young folks can have their own KISS. or leave it as a memory for the generations that grew with them.

I worshipped Gene when I was a Kid. We made a life-sized cardboard cutout of all the Kiss band members in 6th grade and I chose Gene to work on. I later switched to Ace as my favorite member but never lost my love for Gene. Then the mystique disappeared and the internet arrived and that god awful TV show happened. I will defend the first 11 Kiss albums until the day I die, but after reading all 4 biographies, I think all 4 are real douche bags. Some more than others, but Paul is the worst, followed by Gene, Ace and Peter. This is my OPINION. But I am still a Kiss fan and maybe a kiss-tard and will love that 70's kiss music for the remainder of my days.

Gene is going to say anything is possible right now, but it’s just ideas for now. I bet Sophie Simmons turned off her phone because he’s probably bugging her about when he is going to be a grandpa, so he can send her a ton of KISS onesies. The next few years will be 50th anniversary events. The movie has no cast and they had to push it back because of the strike. An EOTR documentary is in the works.

There are two separate issues here, the 1st is the Gene and Paul Show are now getting/feeling/hearing the wrath of lifelong hardcore KISS fans (the ones who kept them very wealthy for 50 years). The 'lifer' fans have a genuine disdain for the way the final Dec. 2nd MSG EOTR concert was rolled-out, no tributes to past members, the same boring setlist of the last 10 years and a lacklustre PPV. Then there was the 'new era' avatar debacle which has already died on the operating-table in KISS fandom. The 2nd issue is Gene is likely relenting on this AI avatar misstep, as he would have preferred a living, breathing KISS 2.0 in the vein of the Blue Man Group as he put it. A recent online article by Simmons has the Demon saying "...they're spending $200 million on this technology for 2027...". He used the term 'they're' as in the probability a third management party is now making a percentage of the business decisions for the KISS brand. Gene and Paul in reality are at their physical limit to perform in make-up with a full show as KISS has been known in their hey-day. My money is on a real-time KISS 2.0 emerging in the next 2 years. The AI avatar stuff may happen in the distant future once the technology evolves into a nex-gen prospect. The revenue will trail-off in the new year as the fake Kiss twats leave their Kiss basements in-search of KISS 2.0.

Issue Cease & Desist to all Kiss tribute bands then Kiss Co controls their licensing . $$$ even the younger tribute bands don't have the moves/ jumps that Gene and Paul had in their 20s.... that brings me to the AVATARS Fix Paul who looks like he's in a Kiss tribute band. And reduce Genes face. Make Tommy a hybrid of himself and Ace kind of like Eric is of himself and Peter. Are the AVATARS really going to capture Kiss at their youthful Pinnacle of energy , physicality and musicality like it could.!? First off, part of the fun of being a Kiss fan is making fun of Kiss. You can get a LOT of entertainment from Kiss! Don't limit yourselves. Clearly Dr. Eff understands this. It's also fun to have a friendly debate about things like this although I don't think there is a debate about Paul or Gene replacing themselves. They're not above grabbing cash but there would have to be a qualifier...In other words, IF they "replace" themselves, it won't be called "Kiss". makes me sad to see the farce that KISS has become; i was born in 1974 so it wasn’t until Creatures of the Night until i discovered them and i’ve been a fan ever since…i think everything up to and including Love Gun is pretty fantastic but once they became more interested in making ridiculous movies and selling ridiculous merch they became a joke. Gene and Paul don’t have an honest bone in their bodies and have never thought twice about lying to the fans that they claim to love so much.

KISS created a LEGACY, then greed and ego destroyed it, i dropped out of the kiss world after lick it up, Animalize had some good tunes on it but i really just skimmed through the releases after that period, the creative magic had gone, they should have ended it instead of slowly burying the band into the farce it ended up becoming, the reunion should have been the celebration to call it a day with the original members, money and ego along with Paul stanley's failing voice has finally put the nail in the coffin, sad for a band who created such an iconic idea only to destroy their creation and end it in such a lame way.

It's like your favorite team of the past who refuses to replace their 71 year old quarterback and expects the league to change the rules to accommodate elderly players and tells the fans to just overl@@k and celebrate their limited capacity. Its time admit that the bands that started in the 60s 70s 80s are done. most of them sound horrible or some of the original members have passed away or are not in the band anymore. Kiss is no different ,look at the Who the Rolling Stones Led Zeppelin. Motley Crue ,even Aerosmith is saying that Steven Tyler is having problems with his voice. I’ve got a question for everybody over heeya… Would you chose Paul Thstanley of KITH to still have his looks or his voice? I saw a 2023 video of Loverboy singing Turn Me Loose (Canadian band), and Mike Reno put on a few pounds but still sounds amazing.
