Also allowing your child to feel their emotions without anger or shame or punishing them for the emotions can really help. Helping your child process their emotions and helping them work through them and just being there for them. I feel that when parents force their kids to stop feeling emotions, they stuff them down and they never get dealt with properly, coming out in other ways later in life

I definitely learned that lesson raising children. It wasn’t enough to just not do what had been done to me, I had to understand the underlying wound to begin to break those cycles. Until then, the same trauma just came through in different ways.

I love Jung. I found my aunts textbooks as a child. I have seen this patterning in others and myself. I've found past life trauma as I've done shadow work. The impression I got of the root system is the Nero pathways as we form memories which we think of as thoughts but we also have emotions and physical body memories. Body, Mind and Soul (Emotions) . A good book about working on trauma is the Body keeps the Score..... Consider as we are in the womb the environments inside and outside are affecting us...and we pick up these chemical responses based on certain environmenal stimuli.

I like this video. I think every generation falls into the trap of seeing the world "as it was in their time". I live in California, houses are too expensive for most working class people. I was talking to someone, he is 2 generations older than I am. We got to talking about the economy and I brought up how houses are too expensive, as opposed to how it was a generation or 2 ago, when houses were far more affordable. He never owned up to the fact that houses were more affordable in his time. "tough, deal with it". His solution? Well, he did not have a solution to offer. He said something along the lines of, the next generation is just going to have to figure it out. So, in other words, if the next generation runs into some obstacle, it is not as if the older generation has some solution on hand to offer. Sometimes, the best the older generation can offer is a shrug and " hope it works out" Student loans is another issue. I have read comments where their parents and teachers told them to take out loan to go to college. Now, those people got degrees, got debt, and work jobs that do not pay enough to pay back the loans.

I've started dreaming excessively every night four months ago. Have you heard of this happening to anyone? I cant find much information about it. Wakeup-hallucinations, vivid dreams, long chains of dreams that i can remember. It feels like I'm conscious for most of my time asleep, even between dreams in an empty void. At first i thought it would eventually stop, but now i don't know if i want it to. My life is so plain and i feel stuck, maybe my spirit is trying to escape its body

I'm sure that's true. Really drug overdoses in general are so common. When I was a teenager, there were a few people I knew who overdosed. It's very sad.
