I was born 1992 but I played mainly NES as the youngest kid who when we got an N64 for christmas. I was able to bring the NES to my bedroom on my pull knob power TV with 12 channels being the NES was the hand me down between my 2 brothers.. enjoying the content.

Dude. I think Atlus deserves a lot of credit despite the "developer drama". They jam packed the NES controller with button commands than it could handle...but was still operable! The developers that made Bart vs The Space Mutants could really take a few crane kicks for not allowing us to execute a RUNNING JUMP since run/jump are on the A button.

Well done yet again G3. Loved how your son rocked the headband and displayed the game. This is defnitely a sleeper hit. While I wasn't hardcore about it as I am Ft13th, NOES, and JAWS, I did appreciate that it tried to stick to the movie. If controls had been a bit more balanced, no juggling, and either more levels or just more in the current levels, I think it could have been a top game. But compared to other LJN titles its not a bad or boring game. I do recommend it as a good licensed game because there are other licensed and non-licensed games that just don't appeal to me no matter how long I play them. Thanks again for shining some light on this good game.

I had this game when I was 7 years old and I loved it. I was a huge Karate Kid fan growing up, and I don't buy that people actually hate the game as much as they claim to. If I had to guess, I'd say that the very funny AVGN video inspired a lot of gamers to hate on it without ever actually playing it. The music on the title screen is just as under appreciated as the game. I even recorded it onto a cassette tape that I held up to the tv speakers so I could listen to it while I was coloring back in the 80's.

Secret you may have missed. The music track that plays during all of the mini games is suspiciously similar to the rock track playing in the background of the bar where Daniel breaks the ice blocks. It's not one to one identical, but it is clear that they specifically were referencing the scene from the movie when creating the music for the game. Check out the track from the bar "Moody Blues - Rock and Roll Over You" and hear for yourself. I could be wrong.

I actually enjoyed the game as a kid. I was excited when I beat the game, but it was hard. I barely realized that they gave Daniel blue eye, when you play the fly catching game.

the typhoon stage and the swinging hammer always got me. I was so frustrated playing them. but when i eat them i was happy. But yeah you'd figure the final stage would been even harder, that i was an easy cake walk. And the Kumiko fall off the stage, i never understood that. As a kid i was thinking why are you running away from me, im trying to save you. Maybe deep down she knew Daniel was evil and Chozen was the real hero??????

I owned about 10 NES games as a kid and probably rented over 200. This was one of the games I owned. I can beat the swinging hammer bonus stage about once out of every 10 tries but I have never beaten the game yet. I might have to try the trick with the guys following behind next time.

Another good secrets video. Love the custom controller. I really like the only 2 enemy at a time glitch. Never played this game but after watching your video it makes me wonder why they didn't name it after the second movie.

Yeah I think it fell under the same category as Jaws being mostly based on the fourth movie but they still called it Jaws. I love that 2 enemy glitch too. Gotta exploit that lol.
