Lee Haney is the greatest bodybuilder in history. He never had a big stomach or torn body parts because he didn't try to look ridiculous or weigh more than everyone else. As a result he always looked extraordinary. No one including Ronnie Coleman with his big stomach has come close to looking as good as Haney. He trained smart, he dieted smart and had a balanced life, even as a young man in his early twenties he was married and was college educated. Lee is not just a credit to bodybuilding but to humanity.

Bob Kurtz at the end of the day it's what you as an individual prefer. Ronnie might of had a bit more muscle than Haney at one time while still keeping his mid section tight, but Haney's physique for me just looked better. It just flowed and the guy had plenty of size too. I don't think Ronnie ever could pull of a vacuum. Remember Haney could of gotten bigger and freakier too but he would of grown a distended belly which is like getting a blind person too finish off the last ten percent of a masterpiece painting. Ninety percent would look good but the ten percent would spoil the whole painting.

the one part missing from his story is his drug use. Dorian, who took over from him, has been very open but Haney hasn't. I personally feel it was around 16 or 17. The guy was a pro by about 20.

This man's physique was so amazing that pictures did not do Lee justice. You had to go see him compete in person. I remember well the day when the Olympia was in Columbus Ohio and Lee walked out on stage, the first thing that came to mind was shock and amazement and who's going to be second. He won the contest just walking out on stage without even striking a pose. A class act and credit to the sport.

Man 4:53 to 4:56, that pose was awesome. You'll never see a men's open do something like that anymore. Lee Haney has an aura of a champion. Now we're all so drawn to the guy with the biggest mouth, they don't even sound grateful. I'm sure they trash talked and what not, but listen to Haney and Schwarzenegger speak, they just sound so much more respectable. I also just read an article that was saying Arnold approached Lee after his first Olympia in 83(before he won) and told Haney he had a fantastic physique and great potential, but he needed to learn more posing that accentuated his physique better, then he would be Mr. Olympia for as long as he wanted to be. Apparently Arnold hooked Lee up with his posing coach, you can see that in Haney's posing for sure. Great interview.

Very inspirational talk. Now that classic physique is back my passion for bodybuilding is returning. In the past I was discouraged on bodybuilding because today's athletes are too massive and that was never the look I wanted to achieve. I also didn't like how sensuality was allowed on stage posing. To me bodybuilding is not just about size, but about aesthetics to artistic posing presentations.

Lee Haney is some one that has my ear when ever he has something to say. He is the gift that keeps giving in bodybuilding. He never says anything to hurt anyone. Yet he will tell the truth even if may hurt some feelings, but only if that subject needs to be said. That is what I want from people is the honesty. Lot of people have given me bad training advice. Not Lee Haney. Everything has worked well you me and Lee Haney is the one that helped me the most. The greatest bodybuilder ever. He still looks great. No health problems I can see. The mass game is a hard game to play and the health may be price to pay in the end. It is amazing to see the mass monsters . Yet classic bodybuilding is something special too and Lee Haney did it best. Great video!

Pure class when i was in high school i read are book on bodybuilding and lee haney was on it and that day i wanted to lift . I would read all the the muscle books . I saved my lunch money to buy this big book from arnold shwarznegger call bodybuilding encyclopedia started doing weights in 2005 14 years old in nz , because of lee haney have pictures on my wall at my parents house of lee haney , mike christian , rich gaspari , samir bannout etc all the great bodybuilders of that era . Lee was smart, when he got out the HGH and the insulin was coming in heavy. He said I'm already having some trouble with the normal stuff. I can't put my kidneys, liver and heart through all of that as well. I'm out and healthy. 8 str8!!!
