There were only a million or so clone troopers, if some wanted to retire they wouldn't make a sizeable impact on the galaxy at large. And seeing as how they were lifelong soldiers, they'd probably have made far better training Cadre or NCOs for elite units of Stormtroopers.

I mentioned in another comment section that it’s possible that the clones could be used for experimentation for programs like the death and dark troopers. Now that palpatine is getting his plans for his empire going in the direction he wants he will need someone to make sure these procedures work on troopers loyal to him that don’t require a chip.

I think you are spot on with this. Crosshair, love him or hate him (I pretty much hate him, but that’s me), is a damn near ideal archetype for the dark troopers, in his general attributes outside of his extreme marksmanship abilities. Given Death Troopers have always had that “genetic/physical enhancement” thing, it makes sense. I don’t think, or maybe it’s I wouldn’t write Death Troopers as being clones so much as I would have Crosshair as the progenitor so to speak. Dark Troopers seem like they’d be drawn from clones who were stalwart “good soldiers follow orders”, and trying to escape mortality, and therefore super useful tools to be turned into cyborg nightmare fuel… I think TGFFA has plenty of room for lots of things, from the Empire exploiting them, through the panhandler in the Obiwan series, lots in between and maybe things far worse At the risk of pissing off the clone fans, they are basically super kickass, organic droids. They are built to be badass, and exploited.

I,m just throwing out there, I think it’s going to be darker than this or a civil war. We know from the unnamed assassin that clones can being turned into these robotic death machines with full loyalty to the empire, and that point was drilled home hard that it was a clone under the mask, almost like they’re setting something up. Secondly there is a line in the mandalorian that I noticed in my last watch through about the dark troopers, it was along the lines of “these are third generation designs, they are no longer suits. The human inside was the final weakness to be solved” this leads me to believe that what we saw in the bad batch was a gen 1 dark trooper, and that we may see more in the future. I hope y’all like this idea because I’ve been thinking about it for a while and with the recent bad batch episode I’m almost sure I’m right

Well, as others have stated what followed wasn't too bad that the Empire stopped regarding Clones like Rex as heroes but we do see a 501st Trooper begging for credits on the Kenobi show (that still hits hard). Alan, the Great Walls of China we seen were built during the Ming dynasty. Not by the Qin dynasty. If there walls of such epic porportions, Kublai Khan and his army will not be able to easily defeat the Jin dynasty, Western Xia and Southern Song dynasty like they did. But yes, one of your ancestors might be one of the peasants or soldiers recruited to construct one of these walls and might be buried there. But I am willing to admit. The Great Wall as a movie is a very awesome movie! I'm glad finally someone agreed with me because I heard they all complaint about an army of hot ladies in blue armors doing bungy jump makes no sense, which is kind of making no sense actually. But when it comes to court intrigue, it really got the job well done. The officials like that imperial envoy always hated the eunuchs for getting in their ways to get promotions from the Emperor and always looked down on the military as nothing but a bunch of brainless brutes who only know how to fight and not think like learned men such as them. Also, the idea of Clones Civil War sounds like a really cool idea! I think this is what it should really be called here because it is a war between the clones who supported the Empire and the ones that hated the Empire. And since you're diving into your Chinese heritage, Alan. Do you think the Galactic Empire is a Legalist State and not the fascist one like how Geetsly's described it?

The Great Wall has many parts built my different dynasties, and I believe parts of it were built by Qin Shi Huang, though by the Ming Dynasty the walls got upgraded and expanded. I believe the ones we see in this video are the Ming dynasty walls though.

But the fact that they used the walls made by the Ming is just... wow! If such walls existed by the 11th century, then no heck way the Mongols can get in without help from the inside. And back then, today's China was divided into the Jin dynasty, Southern Song dynasty and Western Xia.

Sheev has a kill switch and the clones’ inhibitor chips have a suicide program of some sort installed as all other slaves do in Star Wars to protect against issues like this. So if the clones cause too much trouble he flips it and any clone who still have their chips die. Those who don’t survive for now till they’ve killed or unable to cause anymore problems. Quick, easy, and classic paps move to have a fail safe pre installed to cover his ass once again.

I think the most likely scenario is that the emperor used their rapid aging and willingness to obey highly questionable orders, like destroying their home world, as an excuse to rapidly phase them out of service and into "retirement". Then he would use the bureaucracy to subtly deny them any retirement benefits.

Also, those clones who had experience on Venator class Star Destroyers could find themselves getting job offers from Sienar Fleet Systems and Kuat Drive Yards (as well as in major shipyards like Bilbringi, Coreillia, Yaga Minor, or Fondor) for work on the new fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers and support vessels. Stasis, for an on-demand force, is probably too expensive - like a pension. "Termination Booths" might be a bit of a waste of still-valuable units. Lease them out to planetary governments would earn back some credits until the clones gradually age-out because of their accelerated aging (might only live to about 5ABY at most anyway). Some might say they're too conditioned for war to be adequate for such public works projects, but that one who went awol to become a farmer says there's possibilities they can re-condition themselves, and take on a variety of roles in society. Its far more likely, there will be an "important" skirmish and a large majority of clones will be sent to quell "some threatening force" and ultimately fall to the same fate that Tapioca City did. Perhaps they are sent to The West, "fighting" the anomalies that block off the unknown regions..or might be sent to an ice planet to guard against interlopers. Kyber resources + soldiers who are still under Order 66 = squeeze the last of the Jedi(and the curious), should they come looking. Big galaxy, plenty of ways to repurpose them where they won't threaten the Empire.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to keep sending clones on military operations against Separatist Holdouts and thus leave the rebel groups and local insurgents to the stormtroopers? Clones as we know love to fight for the most part. And as we’ve seen with Clone Force 99 and Commander Cody, clones at first don’t see any difference in their battles against battle droids before Order 66 and after Order 66. Well, the battles themselves aren’t different, it’s just the political aftermath that is. Anyways, you would just leave all the former Republic allies who fight the Empire like the rebels on Ryloth and Onderon to the stormtroopers. Clones will certainly be more hesitant to fight these guys, for the most part. Having clones work on secret Imperial military projects seems like a strange idea as they don’t have any training or experience in the civilian field. They’re more destroyers than builders. Not to mention they might have issues with making superweapons. If not for moral issues like how unlike Republic superweapons these don’t discriminate between enemy droids and organic civilians, maybe for the fact these weapons are meant to completely replace them.

There is a solution which made the destruction of the Kameno clone facilities a brilliant tactical move. Under the old agreement the republic now empire was outsourcing their military at a exorbitant cost I guarantee what made the Clone Program expensive had little to do with the actual process but the actually payments made to the Kameonans for their services. By destroying Tepoca city and the other facilities the empire cut out the middle man and sending the most skilled Kaminoan scientists to new secret imperial labs the empire could embark on its own imperial Clone trooper program or ICTs without having to pay the exorbitant costs to the Kamenoans. In bad batch season 1 we find out Emega is a pure unaltered clone (Bobba fett now has a little sister kind of cute to think about) and we see before the empire ends their contracts the Kamenoans were planing on using her as the new Clone donor now that the Jango Fett o DNA was stretched after 3 years and degrading rapidly , they even mention creating a new superior generation of clone to impress the empire. For season 3 in my opinion the empire should learn about omega and seek to capture her for their ICT program useing her pure DNA the can create a new generation of Jango fett clone solders that are stronger than their republic CT brother can grow to maturity in 2-3 years instead of 9 and with time funding/ dedicated research the aging process can be perfected once the clones reach peak maturity the rapid aging process stops and Imperial clones age normally as other humans. And of course with this new generation comes with it new programming for the imperial era personal loyalty to emperor Palpatine they become like crosshair or clone X believers in the imperial ideal.

If the empire had used the millions of clones to build the death star in addition to prisoners, droids, wookies and geonosians then it might've been finished years if not a decade earlier, they could have squashed the rebellion before it even managed to organize into what we see in the OT. It's a massive waste of potential and short sightedness on the empires part.

I don't know, i kinda wanna see the clone be bad guys. Without brain chips, just bad guys that follow orders of bad guys like the clones in the battlefront 2 story mode. I want to believe the 501st legion crushed a clone rebellion on kamino. I want to see 501st legion troopers fight on Hoth. I wanna see the clones fight in endor.
