If you stop and think of this from the Talz perspective (I know, I know - that is Heresy and the Inquisition has been notified, but bear with me before I am dragged away to the Excruciators in neural shackles), then this whole situation is very confusing. The Pantarens and the human Jedi and Clones all use similar forms of technology and all share nearly identical basic body plans, certainly compared to the Talz themselves. The only obvious visual difference is the Pantarens' blue skin tone, and the Talz have no way of knowing if that is just a different ethnicity of the same species, and depending upon the wavelengths of light that the Talz see in (or whether or not their species ever evolved equivalents of rods and cones in their eyes), they may not even be able to perceive these colour differences at all. If either of these scenarios is the case, then from the Talz' perspective the Jedi who initially negotiated with them either acted in bad faith or were overruled, and the Jedi and Clones are just part of the same military force as the Pantarens. The Talz aggression is not surprising in such a circumstance. Chairman Cho's behaviour made conflict all but inevitable, and the Talz didn't realise they were actually attacking republic troops and not the Chairman's own forces. This being the Republic era of Star Wars, such misunderstandings can be forgiven and smoothed out, at least until the Empire turns up and exterminates the Talz.

I've never been this early before... So I have a question but there's always been thousands of comments before I'd be able to ask it. In the Clone Wars movie, they initially wanted to include ARC trooper Alpha from the republic comics, but figured the main cast would be too much of an alliteration (Anakin, Ahsoka, Artoo, Assajj Ventress, and Alpha) so Rex was created with virtually identical armor to Alpha but with the addition of Jaig Eyes on the helmet. What would the clone wars have been like if Alpha was Anakin's clone officer instead of Rex?
@giantslayer93355 жыл бұрын
Steve Wiswell Rex and Alpha aren't really that different. Both wear blue armor and are complete badasses
@alphaarc-28365 жыл бұрын
Alpha-17 is an Alpha Class ARC Trooper which is modified tobe more like Jango Fett and is a lot more independent/rebellious so we could expect him to act more rudely when compared to Rex which is just a normal clone who was taught and trained harder to be more independent.
@CJ-4425 жыл бұрын
Probably wouldn’t have too different. Rex was created to be a more simple version of Alpha. Rex can still be a badass super-soldier when the need arises, with unique armor, and an independent personality. But without the extra lore of the original concept of ARC troopers.
@imposterblockade18264 жыл бұрын
I still like to think that alpha 17 is canon but he's apart of some super secret clone team or project like maybe their in pods that freeze their age so they could possibly wake up 1000 years after the clone wars

If the Xenos recognises their abominable character, and chooses to serve the Emperor for as long as He has need of them, and then to end their wretched existence for the good of humanity, then no loyal servant of the Emperor should gainsay them. wow, usually i love your videos but i feel like you missed the point of this episode. this is a twist on the british and the zulu and the conflict between an indigenous people and technologically advanced people. Its about how it is better to be accepting of other peoples and to not be racist or look down on people. the pandorans even have south african accents. the tull are not the primal animals you say they are, and it really rubbed me the wrong way to hear you talk down to them as a people just because of technological inferiority. they are suppose to be an intelligent but uncontacted species. you can even see one in the canteena scene in a new hope mixing with everyone else which shows they are an intellegent species.

Technological power is a superficial measure of a civilization. Our ability to peacefully co exist with neighbors, to not seek to impose our will on others, that is the marker of a civilized people. In this instance making the Pantoran Chancellor the savage invader and the Talz defenders.
