On top of not even giving Ellie a choice or even the knowledge of what was going to happen. Then Abby tortures a girl's adoptive father in front of her, lets said girl go and essentially gets her entire friend group murdered. All in the name of her father, who wasn't even doing the right or best thing. Abby was written poorly.

See how RDR n RDR2 killed off John Marston and Arthur Morgan? that is how you killed off a character, reasons for their death is exactly the same as Joel, they killed many people and got the consequences, people like both of them pretty much like how they like Joel. yet we dont hear any complaints, why? Cause it is done beautifully. Plus, dont get me started with their false advertising telling us we play as Ellie and Joel. Instead, they forced us to play someone we dont planned on playing when we bought it. If people order a pizza that's being advertised without a pineapple, but they gave them a pizza with a pineapple in it, people have the right to be mad. If they just make tlou2 fully based on the flashback scene, everyone would be happy. Would also get 8.0 user review too at the very least considering the already good gameplay.

Yeah, his death was abrupt and brutal, but that's a recurring theme in that universe. Sarah, Tess, the billions who either turned, were killed by infected, or other people. Besides, we played as Joel already in the first game. Arthur was introduced and killed off in the same game. The way they handled his death was very intentional. It made me seething with anger and I wanted to absolutely murder Abby. It sets up Ellie's perspective and motivates us to want to fucking end her and her friends.

@Deadpoppin How can you say that TLOU 2 is a 'great game' they basically couldn't think of where to go with the story and settled on a revenge plot and then tried adding in new characters like Abby. Yeah Joel was bad for killing the surgeons but the fireflies weren't exactly saints themselves. So tbh they just went fuck it we'll kill off the main character from the 1st game and go completely off track with the main essence of the story.

What did Bill mean when he referred to Frank as his partner? (Bill and Frank being the only ambiguous couple who were confirmed.) Why did Captain Reagan Francis work so hard to save Private Eugene Ellis in _Left Behind_ which was released on Valentine’s Day?

Joel became a bumbling, naive idiot who gives his name out to strangers and stands in the middle of a group of armed, strange looking individuals instead of standing beside his brother. Ellie becomes an antisocial quiet kid instead of the excited, loud mouthed badass she previously was. She kills more than 100 people and cant even finish the job in second when its clearly showed in the first game shes a complete badass who wants to get the job done. Think mini joel. Oh well just unfortunate neil cuckmann choked and gave us this shitty game

To those of you who are giving the sequel so much grief, not all stories can have happy endings, understand that this is a story the director wanted to tell, don't be upset with the developers of this game, be upset because of what happened with the characters, it sounds to me like a lot of you bonded with them.
