Genesis GV80 - Why this car has failed.

I had a 2018 G80 while I was in US. Had to leave it there but it has been the best car I ever owned. More reliable than my previous BMW 540 for sure. It's a shame they are at least 30% more expensive in europe comparing to US and V6s are missing in lineups!

I love the Electrified G80. That is a classy car, smooth to drive and very comfortable. And I love my Electrified GV70. That’s why I was so disappointed with the GV80. I like the brand and just expected more from this model.

The main problem with Genesis brand is the lack of dealers , my nearest dealer is Leeds and I live in Durham. The south has quite few and there is a couple in Scotland . You need dealers for people to buy the car . I do agree with you about the GV70 it appears to be a good car. I got sick of waiting for the company to open a local dealership. I ended up buying a DS7 . Dealer is two miles away. As always thanks for the great review.👍

I love in new Jersey and see at least 5 gv80 a day on the road. Other than dealerships this is car is fantastic. You get more tech, features and genuine materials all over the inside than the german equivalents. And if you price an x5, gle or q7 it'll come out 15k more

I like my Genesis G80 the 4-door sedan, mine is a 2018 and I love it but I will never buy a newer model because I don't want an EV and I think they're extremely overpriced at this point for what you're getting

They are exactly the same as Infiniti Do you remember them. They threw their toys out of the pram and left the United Kingdom Genesis will slowly disappear.

I love my GV70, which is probably why I was a little disappointed with this one. Love the brand though.

Genesis are to expensive for what they are, plus lack of dealerships, don't know why the local Hyundai dealer can't double up.

That is what will be happening in some areas, and new Genesis dealers will appear.

Speaking as someone who is never going to buy one for multitude reasons, it front looks tacky, the rest is bland and the inside looks overpadded and constrained like a Qashqai. At least it looks less like a cheap brothel inside vs some of the rest of the range. And the phone charging struggles are because iPhones require pretty precise alignment to start charging, which is fine when it's on a magsafe but a finicky struggle otherwise. And on why it failed, anything with bad depreciation is just badly priced for what it is. These would have shifted very well at £40k, unlikely there's profit that low so the actual value is somewhere in the middle.

They over priced, every auto makers that making vehicles have started jacking up the overall prices which makes them not so appealing for the money.
