Wow, who is this young gun billy Thorpe, what a player you are young man, thank you for that game. And I’m a huge efren Reyes fan and I have to say if you stay at this game it’s going to be your name people will be talking about in the future. And I have to add you talking about the game and complimenting efren for the game he played was a class act.

Efren Bata Reyes played Ok. Even though he was sick. He never quits Because of sickness and keeps right on playing pool. That is a dedicated Pool player if you ask me. Him being real sick makes anybody not shoot There best or do there best at any sports. And Efren was sick during this Pool Tournament. I can say the man has a (Heart Of Gold). Truman Peyote : Let me tell you something here. #1. I like Efren Bata Reyes. He is one hell of a Pool Player. And not only I mentioned about Efren Bata Reyes being off in playing Pool. But others did as well. All because they mentioned like me he was sick and had a bad cold. Causing him not to play as good as he generally does. I noticed you never said a dang word to others who said the same thing I did. Was that because you're a racist or something huh???? You better learn to read better and re-read what I indicated OK? Very good match. Hardly any mistakes after the first two games. Wonderful run-out in the last game by Reyes. On the hill. Long shot on the one, nails it and gets perfect shape on the two. But after that, every shot was a testy shot. Pulling that out at that moment is what makes him a champion.

I guess Efren applied a litmus handicap when he apparently intended to miss two shots in rack 1 on ball 1 followed by a pause on ball 4 in the 2nd rack. The second shot on ball 1 in the first rack is visibly doable but he made a defensive shot failure.

@@reix25 Hw wasn’t short of his preparation for the three. It’s the same spot he pointed before shooting the 2. He couldn’t get further down the right rail after making the 2 or he’ll get snookered behind the nine.

@@paeng46 Look were he was pointing his cue after shooting ng 2, he was aiming to be on the diamond or lower,. He shot with a lower right spin so that will throw the cue ball down, but he hit it too soft. Also look at what he did on 1:12:55, he knew it was too soft, he landed about 3 inches above so the angle was steeper. If had landed lower he can follow the cue and nudge the 4 off the rail. The table might not be showing that the actual angles and distances due to the angle of the camera.

@anononomous7 жыл бұрын
A player might be get lucky for a shot, or a match, or even a tournament, but playing at the very highest level consistently over 40 odd years it'll pretty much even out :-) If he does "get lucky" more often on a consistent basis than some other players then it's to do with the pace and nature of his shots giving the balls more of a chance. So not really luck at all.

those who take it literally doesn't understand the game but those who are knowledgeable in this game pretty much understand why Efren is saying that..."get lucky" Efren doesn't have much educational attainment, but he was really meant to be genius of this sport. Poor guy never expected that he will be interviewed time and again whenever he won big matches, even worst was in English language. So this interviews became the hardest and most challenging moments for him. So to make the interview short and simple, the best line of reasoning that he get used to say was.. he get lucky. And that reasoning becomes so popular because he keep saying it over and over again. The more he keep saying it, people admire him and like him more, because it was understand and accepted by many as an expression of Efren's humility and humbleness. They all know and believe it's was not luck but the unbelievable talent Efren have, in achieving everything he have done in this sport. Anyone who love this sport will surely like Efren.. he is the true genius, the maestro, and the best ever that played this sport.
