Genndy is the Jack Kirby of animation, he was a hard worker and passionate about his art, and in the end he would always get screwed by the higher ups, getting his shows cancelled

I feel like this happens far too many times to talented artists, regardless of the medium. Shame to think some visions and dreams may never be seen because a person who doesn't understand the art itself, didn't make enough money.

There are two main things that make Genndy amazing. For one, his designs are MEANT to be animated, they don't look good on their own in still images, but they're perfect for movement. And Genndy's the master at timing and visual presentation over dialogue--something that most directors struggle with.

Yeah, he even talked about that in the Powerpuff Girls behind the scenes documentary. He had trouble with character designing while PPG's creator Craig McCracken wasn't very good with animation and timing, so they helped each other with their weaknesses

For anybody else here that truly appreciates this man's work, I would recommend checking out Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal. It came out in 2019 and I just recently discovered it. Not sure if there will be more seasons, but it could potentially rival Samuria Jack.

I grew up On Bugs Bunny and Charles Jones, Robert Mckimson and the rest of those hilarious guys. LOOOOVED the art direction and style. Genndy and his crew are the closest next iteration of that cycle of humor and style and originality. They saw he could Execute, i.e. Comic Timing. Nice!

they had more time than they thought they would. and if this season does well, they might still have plenty of years to go. there are other 2D action cartoons right now doing pretty well.

Faizal Ali Yeah but rise are in the minority. There used to be a while lot more in 2010 - 2012. The only ones doing any good are the ones that sell merch - toys and dvds. In order for Jack to be a true success we need to buy the DVDs.

What's good news for fans? Hope. And the fact there is 50 years of gap between S4 and S5. They can make another season in few years. To back this up, look at the episode numbers, S4 finale is Ep 52 and S5 starts with Ep 92 (XCII) So keep asking for me coz we love Samurai Jack

That positive demonic guy is my favourite character (I never felt such attachment to the character; so, he's something more than just charismatic villain). P.S. And I hope that it will be still the same clever, cunning, mighty, funny, sarcastic and quirky Aku, whom everyone loved so much in childhood.
