Primal is a masterpiece. He really took the concept of no dialogue and heavy emphasis on visual storytelling. It's for the children who grew up with his cartoons and are now adults.

Growing up, Genndy to me was a cinematic cartoonist. If you saw his name anywhere on it, it was guarenteed to be an experience like no other. Usually a grand epic adventure that's full of great references or a serious story that doesn't talk down, but at eye-level. There is so many shows I've discovered thanks to his work, that I keep finding myself going back just to see something I've missed or to experience a grand story all over again.

Okay so I only now noticed (having never before heard of or seen Sym-Bionic Titan) that the shots showing massive robot fights can be spotted in another unreasonably cool production about giant metal monsters fighting enormous aliens: Pacific Rim. It's fairly clear that once you reach a certain level of directorial skill, you tend towards using similar techniques to show things to the audience, but it's funny to think that SBT may have informed some of the ground shots of Guillermo Del Toro's love letter to the kaiju genre

Agree with most comments on S5 for Jack. For me I didn't mind Ashi so much knowing Jack is basically immortal and well age didn't matter at that point lmao plus his weakness for women, I just felt it became to much of a focus and as others said for everything else in the latter half - to cliche/childish nostilgia? Kinda wish they had gone with the movie idea, still could've kept ashi as a bad guy turned good and then have room for a comic series to tell their story if he wanted lol (Kinda like how Avatar did?)

Dude I couldn't agree more about Season 5 of Samurai Jack. The beginning was top-notch, but the ending was just rushed and clumsy. This was great. Ego Trip has some really good stuff in it compared to the rest of the series as does the theatrical short Chicken Scratch. Goodnight, Mr Foot would have been great to see to drive home the point of him not straying from 2D during the Hotel years. Above all else though his prologue for the movie Priest definitely should have been included. That movie’s terrible but his animated sequence is phenomenal. I loved the first Hotel Transylvania and never knew Tartakovsky worked on it. He really made it something special and the way he added 2D characteristics to the 3D animation really made it look good! When I think of that film, my mind instantly thinks of all the exaggerated still poses and facial expressions. And that man deserves an award for removing motion blur in a 3D animated movie, more 3D films and shows should follow suit. The action and movements all look so much clearer without an annoying motional blur smudging everything. I remember watching the final season of the 3D Clone Wars and was annoyed by how the show had added motion blur. It really made some of the season's actions scenes less clear than in older seasons. What should have been newer, better animation was marred by the addition of motion blur.
